Making it unlimited (or close) would kill the concept of risk vs reward, something central to these games.

what about an additional value on armour for camouflage?
Could all be tied in to material properties like dodge & parry. So better mats = better armour = better camouflage?
Could be so that q50 armour will hide you from up to lvl50 mobs. There for the better you are, the better armour you can have, means you can move more safely around.....
Also, would be good in PVP. To have a cloaking skill........?

yeah. now i'm thinking more about this.
How cool would it be to have Predator like 'stealth' armour that bends light around it.
We could have just a pair of un-armoured legs walking around!!

I'm sure they (devs) would find SOME way to limit it so that it would not be the uber-leet happyfeet skill.
Now, *I* think that such a skill should go under Harvesting, since more often than not it's harvesters that NEED to go into these hazardous areas, to find the better mats. The higher your forage skill is in a given area, the better you are at sneaking into hostile territory. Someone who excels at desert forage, of course, wouldn't be nearly as good at sneaking around in, say, the Prime Roots or the forest. Put that high Dexterity to use, bay-bee!

If you are going into those areas and can't manage to fight off the enemies around you, then you shouldn't be in those areas. Or if you want to go into those areas learn where the safe spots are.
As for a stealth or cloaking skill. It would be wonderful to have one. It should be like in every other game though. When you are using it, you can't perform any other actions. You can't harvest. You can't attack. You can't craft. You can't do magic. It's purpose is to hide you and nothing else.

ok I like the idea of leveling it. I still think that it should be at max levels effective at mobs 30 levels under your highest (combat) skill. It basically just eliminates having to deal with pesky gingos from time to time. It should also be max half of harvesting level, because we can work harvest up to 250 in the Knot (zorai) with almost no danger. They just aren't great mats in the easier areas. at 250 pure harvest I could still get by most of The Haven for harvesting Q150's of some really nice stuff for your guildies. Keeping in the spirit of PR though, the best stuff should be really hard to get. This means you still have to dodge gingos that may be weak 1v1, but can kill you in a pack.
