Totally doable? are you on crack?! You may not have noticed but some of those cloppers are hitting 10x harder than they used to. Can I solo now? Sure, Dangerous cloppers I can barely take down now. They give me 64 xp.
let me do the math for you, at level 125 I need about 135,000 xp to level. At 64 xp a shot it will take 2109 dangerous cloppers for me to level.

Re: Stop complaining....
The so-called complaining has very little to do with XP rate, and very much to do with game enjoyment.
Everyone realizes that the devs are no doubt working hard ... while we continue to pay our monthly fees. And yes, business is business; that works both ways.

Correct on statement 1, Game enjoyment is an individual interpretation.
No way of verifying statement #2 as there is no immediate or empathetic responses to curb frustrations before they fester into irrepairable wounds of discontent.

What was i saying (about flaming) ?... it already began (and its gonna get worse, i can feel it)...
Forced grouping at lvl 125 is normal, if your only goal is to get at lvl 250 you might be playing Ryzom for the bad reason. At lvl 125 you should be in a guild and preparing for guild battles, invasions and all the real content that is in game or that is coming.
Im detecting a pattern of complainers :
High lvl, that shouldnt even be as high in the first month.
High lvl soloers who should be looking for a guild to eventually start playing the game, group battles, PvP, invasion....
Very high lvl harvester, who shouldnt be as high...
People who dont accept the fact it was too easy before.
Seriously, the pattern fits most complainers.
Should i have kept my analysys of the situation for myself ?

Question. Why shouldnt people be high level? Who says what level people should progress at. If Neverax didnt want people at level 200, they simply could of not allowed them too. It's a bit odd to blame players for.. playing the game.
And how does one "prepare" for guild battles and invasions? Wouldnt preparing for those mean leveling up and becoming more powerful to better handle them?
Look I'm as excited about content as the next guy, but I am kinda annoying but all these people running around saying high level players are destroying the game and shouldnt be doing what they are doing. Well then, what should they do?
To face facts, all there is to do currently is level, and that is no fault of players, only Neverax. If they want to start introducing content, Im sure most players will be happy to stop the treadmill and do something else. But until then, we dont have much choice.
I'm high level. I'm in a big guild. Apparently I'm supposed to "stop" now and wait for content, because you say I'm not supposed to be high level? Zuh?
Re: Stop complaining....
Our guild has been in full invasion preparation mode. What exactly do you think that entails besides levelling to get high enough to fight mobs such as Kitin Patrols who can LEVEL an entire party flat instantly?trosky wrote:Im not on crack, im actually smoking opium with my chinese mafia mate....

Our harvesters level to provide the armor that our fighters and healers can wear to fight mobs such as Kitin Patrols, Kirostas etc. These nasty creatures are 200+. If you think a group of 125 level fighters healers and mages can fight a Kitin Patrol then you are seriously mistaken.
That is why we're so angry about this patch. Major flaws were outlined & instead of addressing them they chose to push the live patch before fixing them. THAT is the issue.
Re: Stop complaining....
There are many very good things and there are a few very very bad things (harvest is obvious as is the xp for fighters - mages are just about right now) but it's not ALL bad.tleilaxu wrote:Those of you who have been bleating about how the patch is good and all, I'd like you to actually go in and play the damned thing.
Re: Stop complaining....
No offense but over the past month hearing about your guild has made me think of you guys sort of like the Communists of Ryzom. I'm suprised you haven't worked anyone to death yet. It almost seems like your harvesters/ foragers are slave labor.

I fully agree with that. At lvl 110 fighter I'll get no more than 100 experience from anything outside of Resting Waters in Tryker; (or in the outlandish areas). As of now, a full group of 80's+ still get's wiped out hunting here (Resting Waters) because the mobs simply are hitting for far too much.
Thus, there is not a way to level a character any further to compete with the damage dealt. Some have suggested leveling alternate skills in the mean time; I haven't any interest in picking up another to be a jack of all trades, master of none.
I simply loved the game post-patch & now, no longer find it enjoyable. I certainly hope that fixes will be implemented correctly, and soon! I will not be waiting for "Patch 2" to fix the issues. The next best thing is out Nov 9th, so Nevrax doesn't have a lot of time to turn this customer around.
That's my 2 cents.
Re: Stop complaining....
trosky, keep your analyses coming. I see your point, but I believe that you are oversimplifying. We should be playing because we enjoy the game. Period.
Grouping as you raise in level should be more advantageous, yes (or so I believe). Normally I do group, as I play with a friend. However, many seem to have trouble finding groups, and waiting hours for a group is no one's idea of a good game. Guilding is also desireable, but finding a good guild does not happen instantly.
The ability to solo, whether at a slower rate or not, should be a viable option because it gives players something to do while the await a group. And players should have the option of 'doodling' as I call it.
