Have you ever played an mmorpg before? Because if you have to ask that question it sounds like you haven't.
It would be poor business to not listen to your customers and Nevrax have proven they are doing just that by releasing another patch.
The game was on easy mode before and something HAD to be done. Level 60's were taking down monsters that were 170 level + using blind and weren't getting hit. Do you think that was right?
There are bound to be future adjustments while they see the impact of patches, it's what happens in mmorpg's.
oh and one last thing. The only thing putting people off buying the game is moaning, whiney people who wanted it easy and probably would have left anyway as they were leveling to fast and getting bored and can't even be bothered to log in before they make their sarcastic, childish and very very nasty replies on these boards. You can't even have a decent conversation with some of the kiddies here.
You don't need to find excuses to leave, just go and let those of us who want to relax, have fun and play, play.
Sorry but there's only so much you can take.

Lack of response on the boards does not equal lack of work being done; anyone who's been in other MMOG communities can attest to that. And from what others have commented elsewhere, this particular forum isn't the most up-to-date on changes and fixes; it could well be that they fixed Patch 1 and everyone is happy ingame and everything is great now. And no one would post here to let us know because this place is full of flames and not very nice, heh.
Well there has been a post-patch patch! It's ironed out a lot of the problems, especially with harvesting. However I re-rolled a new character to see how it is to play from the start. And things seem to be a lot tougher for new characters lol. The problem is that people get used to things, and when they are changed it causes a lot of resentment. For people starting the game now there are no problems, they just have to play it differently to those who started earlier... Well enough chatting, pulling a sicky today so have to make the most of it..
Have fun and dont believe all the hype

Actually, most of the second patch just caved into very high end harvesters, who now can pull 2-4x the materials they did before.
As far as playablility, when one can't even think of playing a crafter given you're going bankrupt if you do, when suckling yubos (the lowest level mobs) can kill a newbie in one hit, when you need armor to survive newbie island...
I recommend people thinking of playing wait until the patch issues resolve themselves. This has been a disaster, with the majority of the hit to new players. (High end players, on the other hand, have enough resources (jewelry, spells, equipment, powers) to work around the patch and in some instances even are better off.)
No reason to blow your free trial on a currently broken game for newbies. You'll just get frustrated and never come back. Instead, wait to see that people aren't grumbling, and then try it. Used to be a very interesting game, and I suspect it will get back to that point.

Then you must consider a lvl40 harvester to be "high end" because I can also pull 2-4x the materials I could pre-patch. The issue at hand was that four full time harvesters could not keep up with the demand from ONE crafter over level 100 for quality items let alone the mats needed to grind levels.
Slowing down the leveling won't fix then amount of mats needed to gain that next level. Only adjusting either crafting or mat availability could address the craft leveling problem whether it be now or down the road. The devs increased mat availability for grind (NPC mats) and for quality items (harvest pulls increases).

Unregistered wrote:Agreed. But you are saying that there were problems with the game before the patch right? So were not you that said that the game was wonderfull right after release, that combat was great, and were you not telling people that were complaining about the game's fault to go away?
You are a hypocrite!!!
No, if you read everything I have written you will see that I was a little bit sick of the trolls coming from other games slandering the game without even giving it a try. (example the person who plays AC2 calling everyone else fanbois, need I say more.) I was sick of all the trolling in general going on in the forums. Perfect example, Mr unregistered user mentioning the useage of underwear.
Then there are the people who never read what you say properly and make suppositions as to how you think and twist everything around to suit their own argument. You would fall under that category.
So get your facts straight before you run around calling others names, please.
