What can I say - I'm too addicted to not try again...

Guys run that ryzom_recover.exe in you ryzom dir that did the trick for me :)

well at least i can get ingame now, after doing that

seems it redownloaded some settings files etc, as all my visual settings got reset, so the problem we were experiencing is propably related to the graphics card

however, once i get ingame that "please wait" box lingers around for ever, and nothing happens, all my stats stay on 0, my name doesnt appear, theres no chat coming in and theres no mobs or players or anything else moveable, all i see is the ground and the trees swaying in the wind.

well restarted and now the games just says stays at the connecting screen before character select all the time ...

lol same here, finally got in (had to turn my firewall off cos now "it's" incompatible) like "it" changed!! But then the wee pls wait. All this I could deal with if there was some sign of life from the GMs. They really should get an "issues page" going when they have patch days - leaving ppl hanging just don't cut it.

Still, keep tryin I spose......

well seems servers are offline ...

but as you said a little info on whats going on wouldnt hurt.
this reminds me of the release days of DAoC lot of problems and NO info the guess what , they decided to focus on more importaint issues and closed the forums down ..
if that happens here too im definately off

Hi folks

I've checked with our technical staff about any known issues with starting up the Game after patching it. We currently have no information on what's causing this particular problem, but we've had some positive reports from users, that running the ryzom_recover. exe fixed the problem for them.

We're in touch with Nevrax about this issue and will let you know if we get any further information.

Our technical support staff would like you to email them in case running the ryzom_recover.exe does not fix the problem. As we need to investigate the problem further to be able to identify and reproduce the error, please provide our CS staff with the following files:

- client.cfg (located in your Ryzom folder)
- client_default.cfg (located in your Ryzom folder)
- dxdiag (logfile created by your DirectX Setup..Hit the windows button -> select "run" from the menu -> type in "Dxdiag" -> choose "save all info to a logfile" from inside the program)

Further, some users got stuck during connecting to the Game, simply because their firewall recognizes that the program files have been changed and blocks the internet access. That's normal and you may not be able to see the relevant note from your firewall software if you play in fullscreen mode. Be sure to re-authorize Ryzom to connect to the internet after patching the game.
