I can hear a drunks storys any day of the week Its full of ****. I can read the paper and hear storys 90% of the storys are full of ****.

No one wants to hear the story.

They want to be part of the story. Like the first time me and my friends raced no one cares about that story. If they were there in the cars then the story would be more meaningful.

Content:
1. Things you do that change the outcome of the world.
2. Things that no matter lvl or strength you can be invovled in.
3. Things that can effect your everday gameplay unless you do something.
4. Epic missions that may take awhile arn't necessary but the reward for doing them is great.
5. A variety of excitement mystery and suspense.
6. Even if the content doesn't lead to a victory for good.

If you didnt see the news or your friends and family didnt tell you about interesting things that happened throughout the day your life would have no content either.

Total bogus. Content in a MMORPG is based on challenge / rewards . Tasks, missions, epic mobs that drop loot, defending a city from invasions, dungeons to explore, challenging encounters with a reward when you win. That's content. In Ryzom, so far, none of that ...

Where are you hiding....are you just standing in town spinning around...Ryzom has all of that...sounds like your not making much of an effort to actually play the game...

tasks...talk to any npc youll recieve tasks and missions from most of them.

Epic mobs-try making the trek thru bb and meet up with the so called cleaner mobs...and they all drop 200+ mats which can be sold for alot of money or made into special weapons and armor.

defending city for invasion....first show me one game that allows you to do that...and ryzom promises that after patch 1.

dungeons to explore...evidently you haven't heard of the primal roots...there are new exciting places found in the roots all the time.

Challenging encounters....you must be fight suckling level mobs...cuz everything above them are more challenging and intelligent then any game ive ever played.

If you sit on your butt and do nothing in the game...which obviously from your statement above you must have been doing...youll get exactly what your getting....bored.

I really don't know what game your playing but it's evidently not Ryzom...Ryzom has delivered the same amount of content as any of the mmorpg released to date...and in time will far exceed them. You need to go back to Diablo 2 buddy.

ctusk has done many missions - however there all a joke and boring same repetitive garbage with different sentences on different NPCs

He does it multiple times a week helping get people respawn points. BB Isn't that hard if you have half a clue to learn how to figure it out.

DAOC and WOW come to mind, Played AO lately? Shadowbane? heh plenty out there that have invasions that already work - they some worked in beta and some in release

LOL ctusk is a 200+ in PR harvesting he lives in the roots are you even able to get in let alone travel thru them or survive down there for very long?

xasher wrote:Challenging encounters....you must be fight suckling level mobs...cuz everything above them are more challenging and intelligent then any game ive ever played.

4) Actually ctusk is with me all the time on my trips across the lands fighting 200+ mobs daily - there not much of challenge vs 150+ players

Obviously you don't have a clue as he doesn't sit on his butt all day - has every respawn point on the map as we travelled, fought and explored the world. Have you?

Hahahaha, sorry but to this troll I just need to reply.

Kill a mekotub. Look at a ragus. Dig up a magnificient leaf.

Those are not missions, those are a joke. A random mission generator delivers better content.

xasher wrote:Epic mobs-try making the trek thru bb and meet up with the so called cleaner mobs...and they all drop 200+ mats which can be sold for alot of money or made into special weapons and armor.

Been there, done that. Been around the world. Killed everything there is to kill. Dug up my share of q250 mats, tossed away my share of crap boss/special drop mats since they are utterly useless. Made my share of q170+ weaponry.

xasher wrote:defending city for invasion....first show me one game that allows you to do that...and ryzom promises that after patch 1.

Go take a peek into Shadowbane or Lineage 2 for city invasion/defense.

xasher wrote:dungeons to explore...evidently you haven't heard of the primal roots...there are new exciting places found in the roots all the time.

The roots are boring as hell. There is NOTHING in them that is not in the uppe r world as well. Well, no, let me correct that slightly. The mobs have different names and there is glowy stuff. Cute graphics. No content. No tales to tell.
Oh, yes, I have been to them all, from zorai through the nexus to matis and back. All the same.

xasher wrote:Challenging encounters....you must be fight suckling level mobs...cuz everything above them are more challenging and intelligent then any game ive ever played.

Really? Well, you suck then. We killed everything we encountered so far, including some lvl 250 boss mobs. Boring, no challenge. No tactics required. No reward for killing them either. Didn't even change the story line, they are back 5 minutes later.

xasher wrote:If you sit on your butt and do nothing in the game...which obviously from your statement above you must have been doing...youll get exactly what your getting....bored.

Nope, I just managed to see the whole game within 4 weeks. Mostly because, well, there is not much to see ... yet ....

'Nuff said. You obviously have not the slightest clue what you are talking about.

Well I originally started these poems as a way to roleplay my experiences in the game like how a bard would tell stories of his experiences. Nobody seems to be really reading them though so I dunno if I should keep trying.

Don't get disencouraged. If you enjoy writing these keep doing it, I am very sure there are likeminded players that enjoy reading them. Some people like to really roleplay, some others don't. The mmorpg crowd is usually tough, ranging from roleplayers to explorers to achievers. Something for everyone usually. However a little bit of provided content for all those different groups is a must as well.

Grats on your successful trip through the roots last night btw :) I think we met briefly ;)

I believe the pop band Green Day wrote a song about you fairly recently.

Myself, I don't HAVE a television because I do not care to watch or hear about other people living or experiencing life. I prefer to live and experience life myself. Part of that is my gaming. When I game I want to have fun, DO things, and EXPERIENCE that world. I also like to be challenged and do what others find difficult or impossible. Along with CP I have done just that. I have been challenged. I have explored. I have spawn points in every continent. I had them when many people were still saying it couldn't be done. But, you say, you're just a power gamer! Of course you could do it quickly! Ah but I'm not you see. I started the game over a week after release because the weekend it released I was replacing an engine in my sister-in-laws car because her parents couldn't afford to fix it. The next weekend I was co-driving in the Prescott Forest Club Rally. Every sunday evening is spent with family and most saturdays are spent with friends. And I almost NEVER stay up past 10pm.

The point of all of that is that when I play I don't want to sit around a campfire and tell fictional stories to try and make a predictable and repititive world where death is no more than a free trip hom seem exciting and dangerous. I want to DO things and CHANGE things. You put the onus on the players making the game fun, well CP has made a LOT of fun in this game where without them there would be none to have, so I know about making your own fun.

Oh yeah, hehe, and you think ctusk sits around in town all day, HA!
