True, ONE person would have to make the run - as long as ONLY that person could teleport via the guild, that'd be okay. The problem would be if: a) a multinational guild has one person in Matis buy a hall and one in Fyros buy one, then allow transport between them without ANYONE making the run or b) ONE person makes the run but the entire guild gets to teleport - even those who haven't made the run. There are enough advantages to being in a guild, adding unfair advantages would be ..well, unfair.

Really

Making the run will become something easy soon enough. The higher level the fighters get, the easier it will be to get between the lands. I dont see how teleporting will be a problem long term.

Rightnow it would take out one of the challanges of the game, and therefore I dont think it should happen. All I am saying is that at some point it will not matter much.

a) Even with a multinational guild, someone will have had to make the run first, there is no remote invitation to join a guild.

"There are enough advantages to being in a guild....". Such as.. ? And if the teleporting were to be activated via a guild mission, or guild xp say, this would mean all/most people in the guild participating. I dont see this "reward" as being an unfair advantage.

As stated elsewhere, travelling between the lands is getting easier as people lvl up and soon wont be much of a problem.

This teleporting question is a moot point tho anyway. Theres been no official confirmation if this is possible or even planned for or not.

on the guild hall subject, i agree teleporters would be bad

With the new patch coming, traveling between the lands will be restricted again until we get stronger than level 200 melee (it was troublesome enough with melee 100)

Do I agree with teleport between towns?
Only IF you have personally visited the town and triggered a spawn point, that said, sure, if the guild hall allows for porting between towns, what it would do is keep track of your PERSONAL ventures, looks at your character and says, hey, you got a telerport triggered in the town your guild has a housing in, go ahead and go.

Like the trainer tree's in newb land. has 4 locations and exit, so would the teleporters, only IF you have triggered the spawn point by visiting the lands your bases are in.

Cost associated with it? Sure why not, have the guild fun be debeted say 10,000 dappers per trip per person.

Saves 2k instead of buying a ticket, and heck, you can buy the ticket since you made the run anyway.

Are appartments worth anything? I don't know right now, I don't own one, but I want one just as a status thing and I can buy it.

Time will tell.

I can make 100K an hour and I'm about a balanced level 50 in almost all skills except for a few crafts. Money really isn't that big of a problem. And if my guild were larger and we weren't training all our crafts we'd be getting a guild hall pretty quick. Money isn't really an issue as the game progresses because more and more of us will be getting money faster and faster.

Eventually there will be guilds that can hold the path open...the WHOLE path...from Thesos to Yrkanis from spawn spot to spawn spot...EACH spawn spot, making the trip about as dangerous as picking daisies on a sunny afternoon.

There WILL be a day when a level ONE player can be created at 1 oclock, be out of noobie as SOON as they find the porter to mainland, and take a tour of ALL the spawn spots...including PR PRIZED spawn spots from ONE racial land to another...the WHOLE world tour. If you don't believe me, then HOW did a Vah shir make it to level 59 in ONE week??? Answer, where there is a will there is an ALT and the main to pay the way.

Think of it like this. In the first century, even a camel, donkie, or horse was HIGH brow travel, the VAST majority of people on earth used FOOT power. More than 1k years later, things had speed up to the speed of a fast horse and cart as the main mode of travel for most people in "civilized nations". About 200 years ago travel EXPLODED, we are seeing the beginnings of Civilian SPACE tours.

If it can happen in real life...it most assuredly WILL happen in game...period.
