More foraging extraction options, so that represents more SP spent.

In general seems to be cheaper magic options, especially for the lower level characters.

It doesn't have to be unfair to player who join after the reset. If we all post how we spend our points, why, and the type of character we are working towards, that could be really useful to new players in planning how to spend points as they level. Granted, it's not the same spending a bunch of points at once as agaonizing over where to spend your next 10, but there should still be a ton of useful pointers for people just starting out.

Like "... and with light armor crafting 1 and the light boots plan get yourself to lvl 60 light armor, lvl 70 2 hand melee, lvl 51 range and lvl 60 jewel crafting without spending ANY SP on ANY crafting skills (inlcuding range, jewel and weapon crafting 1) and use those points to buy all focus upgrades."

I am *sure* they will find that very "helpful" :p

I'm as giddy as a school girl.

actually only been playing the game for like 3 days so it's not really a big deal for me, but i love the idea anyway.

anyone have any idea when the patch will go live ?

Actually Heroes allows you to do it at up to 3 times at levels 24, 34, and 44. But you have to complete a Task Force mission to be able to get it. Tough break for the casual players. =/

Hope they don't go back on their word about the skill reset.... Ive been dumping SP into all sorts of skills I wouldnt normally get just to see what they are like. Im only doing this in the knowledge that I can put my skills back to normal after the patch :)

Well since noone has been pessimistic about this, i guess ill have to be :D
*Sigh all the traffic at the trainers, the few moments all players in ryzom will be on completely equal footing, the thousands of SP high lvl players have to reallocate, this being kindof a RELOAD option, something which should never be seen in a n MMORPG... etc....*
Im not against it, but just thought ill balance out all the joy :D

Just kidding.
Am i supposed to write something witty here ?

With the changing of the costs...there will definately be SOME skill trees where, even if they DO NOT figure in for the action packages, you will GAIN the equivelent of the same SP.

Ok, just for discussion:
You spent 250 points in a skill in crafting you don't want or need, bought a few of the aim at skills that you can't figure out if they are helping you or not so...you don't want them either(about 100 points worth ish), bought bleed but use a mace most of the time or a pike, so bleed is WORTHLESS to you. Bought a few linked spells but don't have the patience to either group...OR wait until they have worked before you move, cast or whatever.

This is just to roughly level 50... you would EASILY have...if ALL costs stayed the same and you JUST got a do over 400 to 500 sp to respend...across all trees/classes. So you lost 250 points in action packs to GET this do over, you STILL get the sp back.

OK, now some of the skills got changed a bit and they are redoing the COSTS of some skills, Now the SAME skills you bought...and use are costing you FEWER sp than before...that is like GAINING sp over the levels you earned, by being able to BUY MORE with the same sp. (think about this re do as a SALE at your favorite store, more BANG for you SP buck, AND the chance to UNdo the goof ups you made.)
