How to balance forage.

why I should make more foraging to reduce foraging death penality? if I got killed by an explosion I am all mad I sheathe my two hander sword and go slaughter slaughter slaughter mobs to feel better.. then, after I am all happy cuz I laid destruction I go back to my foraging or something else whithout the meanie death penality (I am a forager/wizard/fighter/crafter).

As for this "quickly getting rid of dp by using forage", the most efficient way to get rid of death penalty is to use your highest skill possible. Early in my melee days it indeed was relatively fast to get rid of it by harvesting, but now as I'm gaining more and more levels in melee and less in forage, there's NO WAY I'm gonna forage the dp off. I get 40k dp points off from my total dp with 3k kill, and if I use my magic, which is 44 max, I get like 9k dp points off. My forage is also a bit weak compared to my melee, so the only fast way to get rid of dp for me is to melee it off.

All I'm saying is that foraging is only viable option for fast removal of dp if your forage level is somewhat close to your highest skill.
