All the complaints of the original poster are valid - and I
have used the system, Raynes.

You're aware that you would have to scroll through 1000s of items to do so?

This is, unfortunately, impossible because the devs have chosen to close the test server. However, that does not preclude non-testers from forming opinions based on the information they've been provided, both by the devs and by testers. As a matter of fact, if you hold any political beliefs whatsoever, you're guilty of doing this exact thing every day. After all, when was the last time you ran a country?

shrike wrote:No, you cannot. When you sell an item you *will* put it into the player sales. You have no option not to.
Also, if you have to click yourself through 100 of training-weapons (after the 5 mins when the seller list has finally been loaded) to fine a decent one - how many people do you think will use it? *zero*
ATM it's only useable for mat sales (and even there you could have maior problems to to massive loading times).
So if you walk up to me and trade with me, the system isn't going to give it to you, it's going to put in somewhere else in a mysterious player sales area? That's just wrong. Individual trading is not changing.
So if I know you make great swords, there is nothing stopping me from getting the item directly from you.
If you think the system is going to take 5 minutes to load up 100 items, then you really misunderstand just how much data the game can handle. Your inventory now has over 300.

They haven't closed it. It's open to anyone who bought a pre-order copy of the game. The problem is that people are making "sky is falling" statements without full knowledge of the subject matter. Furthermore people are complaining about a problem of not being able to see stats (and going so far as saying the system is useless becuase of it) when THEY CAN NOT SEE THE STATS NOW! If they were available to see now and the new system took them away, that would be another issue. But that isn't the case.

No when you sell to a vendor, it automatically goes into the player sales area.
That's what you don't have a choice on.

First off .. only 1 and 2 would really be a reason to not push. Since 2 is really just a "are you guys sure you can handle this" that leaves issue 1 that is really bugging me. It alone would also fix other issues. The system would have to become opt-in and people would only put up items they think they can sell (since it would cost them dap to place an item in the system). This would also help issue 2 ..
now to the quote .. the other night I leveled up ranged weapon craft from 32 to 50 .. doing this created 300+ items that were sold to ONE npc in a grand total of about 1 hour by one person. Do you really want to scroll past 300 very low quality pistols to find your basic vendor mats ?
And your inventory does not have 300 items.. your can hold 300 bulk and most items take up more than 1 bulk (launcher ammo is 45)...

And what I am saying is that you don't have to sell your items to a vendor. You can sell directly to another player, you do not have to use the new selling system. So if you really like the light armor that I make, you can still by directly from me without ever involving a NPC, just like you would do now. So argueing that you won't be able to buy stuff from your favorite player is not true. You can still contact and buy direct.

You are missing the point. When I create low qual items for training noone wants I do NOT want to put them into player sales so they clutter them.
Anyway, you just seem to fish for flames. I think ignore would be the best option here.

What thread are you reading? or do you just not understand a damn thing? Non of this has anything to do with P2P selling (aside from being able to see who is selling an item, but that is an addition that would only enhance what we have).
You do know you gain crafting XP from making items using vendor mats? You do know that you can sell these items back to the vendor to help cut costs? You do know you can sell all them useless mats you get from killing suckling yubo to a NPC and get some Dap?
What game are you playing raynes?
