My post was reflection on how truly difficult Ryzom used to be. To me that was the cruciable that forged our renowned community. We alll helped each other because to do otherwise was not an option. The survival of hominkind depended on it. As the game has been tweaked to make it easier we have lost some of what made Ryzom special. To me the reward is linked to the challenge. As the challenge has diminished so has much of the joy of playing

There was a boss zoo on Pyr ???

Again, due to my odd working hours, I missed this.

What you get out of Ryzom is what you put into it. That is the same as with any other game, or any other activity in life for that matter. And although the outward appearance has changed over the last year, Ryzom is as it ever was; a magical, wondrous and exciting state of mind.

The change in server population must have an effect on how people play the game; how could it not?

First of all, I could probably outdrink all you mother lovers. So that's settled.

But really, the lack of teams to trek/hunt/explore isn't an excuse to just hand over high-level content to new players. (As has been said, just make a Ring scenario in 5 minutes for the same effect.) Instead, this population problem should be incentive for more content aimed at player retention, not quick fixes to keep up distracted.

The kitin lair sounds cool. RP storylines are a good addition to everyday gameplay (albeit late for the RPers lost after 4 years of mediocre support). These are some pretty good starts for Ryzom v3.0 and shouldn't be undermined by another wave of dumbing down.

But what do I know, Windows 7 already blue-screened me away from Atys. :p

Windows 7 is supposed to be supported now...
And the petting zoo vanished... so isn't this thread a bit updated ? Or are people gonna start complaining about PR white mobs invading the capitals, now ? (I just think there's too many of them getting in the way... but that's me...)

Go for it. :p

Kinda don't get the point in them either, just lagging up already laggy towns for some I guess. :p
