...what's wrong with wanting a system geared COMPLETELY TOWARDS CRAFTING? I like this system, and I think that any uber lewtz should come in the form of uber componentz. Kill the ancient dragon, get the Dragon's Heart and Blood Ruby which will add mad crazy stats to whatever item you use them in.
Your suggestion from the first example is very nice, and I would see no issue with it, but I also really truly do not see that this game has a pressing need for it. I like that I have to be involved with crafters. Your contention that the current system is CRAP is something I do not understand at all.
