Because would you actually remember to check your guild size before recruiting someone? I know I wouldn't, and if I were a newly promoted Officer in such a guild I may NOT know about the bug.

Trust me, they know.
If you wanna track it, it usually happens around certain OP declarations (to cancel them) or around certain season changes + boss spawns.
The "downside" of these "crashes" is that the boss might spawn, twice.
Now, ONCE Id agree it could be an accident.
Twice, by the SAME guild. id get suspicious.
Three times, ok, what the hell is going on?
We are now passing at least 8 times where i know for a fact its the same guild, by one of their own member's mouths....
Accident my ass.
Unknowing my ass.

I suspect several guilds are just finding out about this bug for the first time now. We "discovered" it 4 times in ten minutes a couple months back. A ticket was sent in and the bug was explained to us.
With the influx of new players, 4 year old guilds, and no documentation or warning about the roster problem I am rather surprised it is not more common. Also keep in mind, since there is no limiting monetary factor on the ability to create new accounts, a single player with two computers could create an alt guild and crash the game all by their lonesome.
I do not think any actual guild would crash the server intentionally. I do not think any guild would be able to keep it quiet as someone within the guild would certainly object. The problem here is not the players, the problem is explaining the bug and correcting it.
I think the recent blame games (server reboots, boss camping) are a clear warning to the development team. The natives are restless. It is grow or die time.

Danolt, with all due respect.
I know members of the specific guild who has admitted in person to me that their guild has been behind it at least 8 times. Trust me, they know about it and it *IS* done intentionally.
Its not by their main guild though, its done by having one of their members an officer in another guild of size, and when they need it one of their members drops guild or logs on an alt, and they log the officer online and guildinvite the dropped member. Boom, server crash and the guild reaps the benefit while "looking" innocent.
No point in mentioning the person behind it, nor the guild as they will both claim its a lie.

SunCe,
Your post made the boards right before mine and I had not seen it before I put mine up.
It would be extremely difficult to keep deliberate reboots secret in a guild with more then a couple people, especially if they are recruiting. The use of an alt guild would remove that problem.
Hopefully, this will be fixed soon. It is the sort of bug abuse that makes the whole game seem a little pointless.

As i said, it is DONE by the use of an alt guild. read my post again
