Speaking of RPing, (and i think that there is a STRONG number of willing RPers on 'zoms arispotle, they're just hiding) My "Atys' Finest Rogue" competition will be back soon as the servers are steady and running, so i'd expect you all to be there >> (assuming of course we get our characters back, else itll be a tad difficult to access all those rewards i promised )

I actually happen to find i fall into the Nightblade persona WAY too easily, i agree 100% with what danolt points out about the RPing_arrogance among players, its true!!! i find that some take to it better than others, but MANY will RP with you without even realizing it most of the time

RP'ing could be fun if it involves many players on big events. I don't want to lose my alts, but if it's necessary, I would accept it if it means I can start playing Ryzom again. I am trying other games during the absence of Ryzom, but I never experienced the joy in any of them as it was when playing Ryzom. I hope they listen to us players, and make it appear as it was before the last shutdown, and develop a new version where we can all start from scratch. (Using the Ring for introducing new areas or events is really a good idea, since it's fast and easy. It would mean the game can grow at a reasonable rate.) This would hopefully happen on another server, so you can make a choice whether you want to start on the new one or stay on the other one. I also see no reason to have servers specifically for people speaking same language (like french or german or whatever) Instead you could introduce areas where you could speak whatever language you want. (Or introduce channels for respective languages, and keeping uni for Q&A in English, since most do understand it. Or have one for each language... do we really need that many channels?) You could possibly have servers with different roles, perhaps one for pure PVP, and another for RP? In this case, I think you should be able to have your main alt on any of them, instead of making one on each. (At least be able to clone your alt to put on every server) Enough ranting now, I do hope we can play Ryzom real soon... *hugs to all*

Sasi has never had much of an OOC mode.

Perhaps I am too weak in my RP skills to carry on two trains of thought and feeling. I have played characters FAR different than myself in PnP RP games, but I find that the realtime nature of MMOs makes that difficult for me. So I slip into Sasi like an old pair of jeans that fit me perfectly, and just exist. I am she as she is me and we are all together. koo koo ka choo.

However, should Sasi's skills and possessions slip away into oblivion, she will still be here. I will carefully use my beloved screenshots to recreate her appearance, and she will continue.

As has been mentioned, I have found that most homins RP without knowing it, or at least without thinking about it. Quite likely that's part of why RP issues spilled over into OOC discussions. The great flame-wars in my time seemed to be totally about in-character matters. (Excepting the old anti-PvP and anti-OP things that I mostly missed due to my youth.)

It's likely also why I find NB so irresistable...


So - while I'd love to pick up where we left off, the only thing that would truly hurt me is if someone else got my name. I'd like to see a new owner give us the right to reclaim our names. (including alts)

With Sasi on this one. I love Rahia and that's who I'm known as. If we did have to start over, which I'm not to thrilled on the though of, I would like to have the opportunity to remake Rahia. She's gone through many transformation but Rahia is always the name I go with. It's who I am when I'm in game. She's not just a toon but an extension of myself, perhaps most don't feel that way but that's where I stand. If I had to watch someone else run around with my name, it would just break me. *sighs* The thought is just actually too depressing to dwell on.

Anyway that's my ha'pennies worth.

About the "restart" or "clean wipe" well I was only low level anyway, mid 30's for fight and magic, 20's for craft and harvest, so really a new start would not affect me much, except the armour that was made for me by my guild leader , I will stay until the login tells me the servers are no longer available or the web site closes, I havn't lost hope yet, sad maybe, miss the people--yes, lost hope -- NO -- I will stay till the last --
