While I agree with the Idea of more Kitin Invasions and "Kitin Spires", awsome as they may be, I have to put a grain of salt into the happy mix
Think of the Kitin infesting a certain area where certain Mats/Mobs are known to exist... Well, I´d like to know who´ll be the frist to cry out:
"Get those Kitin out of there! They´re runing our Gameplay, because we cant level anymore / can´t get to our important digging spots anymore".
Does this sound familiar?
Does anyone remember the outcry last Halloween?
IF this was to be implemented, it´ll have to be very well balanced to give the players an actuall chance of eradicating the Kitin in this area. Wich would not be possible, if they simply spawned more and more and more...
But that´ll be for the Devs to consider and make real. But it´ll take a whole lot of time.
Another thing, wich nobody seems to be considering at the spur of the moment is: Regular Invasions tend to get old.
If an Invasion would come every two or three month, last two weeks and then be gone again, it´ll soon be boring and well... regular.
Infrequent Invasions would be the key here. The emelent of surprise is essential. Unless you do want such talk to occur:
"Okay Guys. Tomorrow 16.00 at Dyron Stables, we expect the first wave of Kitint to hit this month. All able hands are welcome, but only if you want to.
They´ll be gone in a week anyway."
So more but infrequent Invasions are called for.
And variations of the "main theme" of invade, infest, be gone...
The "Invasion of Pyr" was fantastic and on just the right track.
Such things, more often, and with more consequenses for the servers and the palyers would be a treat
(Allthough, Kitin infesting a city over a larger timescale, would not be that good, for nobody would be able to teleport to that city anymore. So it would be one City less for newbes to start. Unless the K&K on Silan would tell them: "We´re sorry. This Teleporter is deactivated at the moment due to Kitin infestation. Please come back later or choose another." )
Invasions like the one waaaay back, wich was combined with the missions and token system, to get more armor for more NPCs!!!
Brilliant concept!!! But please without so much clicking... I think my right indexfinger nearly fell of back then....
Grand Rewards, good Idea. But only if balanced correctly and equal chances for all to get them. No "Über-Itmes"!!!
The HoPo Items were a very good start.
HoPo´s Ok, but as was said not only for PvP. Maybe combined with the Tribe/Civilzation fame system?
So, now to what I´d like to see:
More Mob difeerentiation. Not just smaller and bigger Mobs of one breed.
No, more variations in color. For example small (younger) Bodocs could be of a lighter color then their grown counterparts. Younger Desert Varyinx could maybe be more like the color of sand, as to help them hide from older ones that may eat the young of other litters
The behavioral system is brilliant, now to make it even more realistic, with ease.
Other methods of foraging as described in some articles on the main page.
Stripping trees of their bark, cutting vines form branches, etc...
A real canopy over Yrkanis, like in the concept drawings...
Admit it, this city would look far more majestic with it
Underwater Mobs!!!
Boats!!!
Other Mounts! (I still want my Ocyx mount!!! Would look like riding a chopper )
Other ways to get to Catalyzers. By Mission or rite.
(If not, remove the f*** things! )
Craftable OP defenses!!! Great Idea!!!!
I´ll have to sleep a bit now. Maybe I´ll dream up more
