Translated the interview. It seems to contradict what Diaronn says about the seasons influence on the kitins.
Oh, by the way, in the interview there's a mention of kitin queens. Until now I thought they were kizaraks but it seems they are just "generals". The kitin queen is the ultimate leader. And I vaguely recall an event in the jungle where you had to kill a kitin queen. Does anyone have pics of that please ? I'm curious to see what it looks like

The first theory (winter behaviour is from a Fyros).
The Second theory is from a Tryker Entomologist:

Kitin Story part 2 wrote:It really did look like the huge shield of a warrior. He advanced towards it and sat down. Its edge connected with the surrounding wood almost seamlessly, but as he touched it, he discovered that this was no wood. The material was cold and even. There was no moss on it and the roots were covering it, but didn't seem to be able to attach to its surface. Only in the engraved deepening of the strange symbols there was a little water, where a few delicate young shoots could be found. The dark surface was flawless, but its shimmer in the dim light told him that it would surely shine silvery in sunlight.
I could be completely offtopic here but this intreagues me greatly. Could it be that the kitin know how to craft ? Judging by it's description the shield could be made of metal ? and the symbols...It is said in the interview the kitins have a near homin intelligence. Is their intelligence so developped they have the ability to write ?

I´d rather say, the Karavan put a lid on the Kitin partying in the Cellar

By the way of hybernation.
2 years ago, when i first came to mainland the treks were actually done more often in winter because of less kitins, never in spring and i've seen people having big problems in spring.
I wonder what has changed in the patterns of spawning and aggressivity? (Or are we going easy fast easy way as game?)

This may also give an idea of the difference between the intelligence of kitins at surface compared to those in the depths:
"We have n*ticed, of late, that the*e are two Kitin fol*owing us. They move back out of range w*enever our guards *pproach them, but they are definit**y follow*ng us. We never get a clear enough look to id*ntify their 'breed' but it is my be*ief that they are *inchers. Kinc*ers of a great and p*werful type seen only rarel* above this level. Their beha*iour shows an *ntelligence we do not often credit the kitin with, they seem to be foll**ing us, kee**ng a mark on us, for what pur*ose I don't know. If they ga**ered their strength we could be rushed, I am sure of it. Kitin ac**vity as we wend our way deep** seems more v*ried and complic**ed also. There is be**viour that I do not reco*nise or unde*stand besides the usual **raging and gath**ing a*tivities. Small kitin scu*ry between the la*ger groups and oth*rs engage in active*ties that may be well**apping or o*her behaviour. I am s*eculating. We have come under a few att**ks now and the pr*valence of com*ative kitin is much h**her, ma*ing our pre**nce slow*r. Still, no*hing we can't han**e so far. I long to feel the sun wa*ming my sap again, but we have to press on."

Ah yes, and remember that those "Kitin from the depth" during last Halloweens Invasion were all white (albinos). From lack of sunlight down there.

The piece on this page :
http://fr.encyclopatys.org/index.php/Kitiharak
Translates to:
"The Kizarak is as beautiful as it is mortal. Do not think even to peek to its petals of more close to this frightful beauty arachnid projects a slimy silk heading for its victims to immobilize them, and the observes next to fight while it treats himself in advance dish to come."

Mind posting that publically?

Everyone should be able to read it. And you'd be saved from resending PMs.
I wonder how much lore Aniro has gotten that we haven't...
