Have fun and hope our paths cross again sometime in the not too distant future.

bofrano wrote:I've seen many of these "I'm leaving" threads around and I find it sad that the development of the game is most of the time the primary cause. I just want to remind you all though that there are new players around that are interested in testing Ryzom out and I don't think it's a good idea that the first thing they see on the forums is a bunch of "I'm leaving" threads.
Keep in mind that soem of us have been playing the game going on 3.5 years now. It's hard for a signifcant otehr to hold one's interest that long, let a lone agame :) . Myself, I wrestled with PMS (Post Master Syndrome) after the 1st one.....again after mastering PR Dig and HA....and took my "vacations", but even football, baseball etc. have "off seasons".

there's teh old addage of "Be careful of what ya wish for" .....

....if only I culd master melee I'd be powerful enough to....
....if only I culd master magic I'd be powerful enough to....
....if only I culd master afflictions I'd be able to....
....if only I culd master ranged, at OP battles I could....
....if only I culd master OR dig I'd be able to get somw good stuff crafted....
....if only I culd master craft I'd be able to make ....

Once you do, you've lost something to strive for. That's the reason I don't use cats for anything but crafting (well, and the unbrearable 245-250 runs). Most of my guildies don't use 'em either for the same reason. The goal gives us a mindset to focus on while we enjoy each other's company. It's not the destination grasshopper, it's thr journey.

So yeah, I have written goodbye threads before, I will write them again. But yes, it is getting bit stale.....I have a few more DA levels to go....and I still need 4 more mats for my uber HA set. I have a uber wep of each type, I can't advance my craft anymore but would like to make some npc armors, so few thinsg left to concentrate on.

But what I really want to do is have new experiences.....My best time in game was at the beginning. I remember being in the first group to see Dyron....the first to reach Matis, the first to reach Tryker. There were no "escorted" trips cause there weren't higher level players to do the escorting. Each trip was exciting, each trip had many many failures before we actually reached our goal. But seeing the new places, the new worlds, the new landscapes, the new mobs was exciting. I miss that excitement and I hope we see new content (and no not spires) where we get to explore new places again. When that happens, i think we'll see a lot of ole players come back.

Keiko, you'll be badly missed so long as you're not around. I love you loads and you stuck up for me when I needed you, as I bet many other people could say too. Take care, have fun and spread it around everywhere you go, like always :) .

And Come Back Soon!

I know only to well how you feel Keiko. We had the early halcyon days when all was new.We all needed each other and created the oft praised Ryzom community. We merged and found new friends all over the world. We survived EP2 an introduction of OPs and the friends that left over them. We waited with anticipation over the bankruptcy and the launch of the Gameforge era.We now stand looking at what is here. We need something to balance the countless hours of grinding. The answer to the "why have I trained so hard?" I continue to sub and hope it comes but the hope wanes. I contemplate has my time come to move on.I wish you all the best even if you chose the Kami.-Kil

I wasn't sure if my original post was clear enough in what I ment.

I hope it isn't goodbye forever. I'm gonna get my feet wet in some other games (Ryzom is only my second MMO ever), and hope and pray to, well the Devs, that each time I check back on Ryzom there is a reason for me to resub.

I've been searching lately, for the reasons I started Ryzom. I've been hoping for a war against Kitin, and to find the Saga again. I can't see it. When I can see it again, I'll be able to come back to Ryzom and enjoy myself.

So, hopefully, I dont need to stay gone :P But, my hope has dwindled.

Like mine did too....

There is just one problem, don't unsubscribe or delete your a/c because you will be back, it saves the time and trouble of doing it all over again.

I am also waiting for new content.

Waiting and waiting.

Take care Keiko

p.s. I give you 4 weeks :)
