There are options other then double nukes to stop the drain on healer.Try singles with vamp.Good damage and only a sap heal.-Kil
it was a joke. DoH!great83 wrote:Also please dont bring up factions where there is no need for it, unless you are trying to start a flame... which is a offense on these forums right?
The power stat on amps doesn't affect the sapdrain of DoT spells either. It doesn't seem to affect DoT spells at all. So one way or another that does need to be fixed.sprite wrote:Plus why would the power stat affect damage on a "DoT" ele spell and not the sapdrain like it does on an affliction spell?
If casting a new spell doesn't break the link, that already makes link spells a lot more usefull.blaah wrote:.. and there is one use for dot's (if you can link it reliably that is)... use it on vorax when you duo and you have low fear resist. if you do get feared, link stays up (but beware, when link is up, you cant dodge)
to devs: make DoT's stack. 2+ DoT links for example (maybe add max link time if sap drain is not enough)... and plz make DoT damage based how long link was up and not every 4 sec as it is now. as i said, iirc 3.9sec link means no damage.

The only afflictions that are really usefull in PvP are the ones that work without a link.
Ya i have to agree madness is very effective in pvp.. but i think the reaso for this is that you have no indication that you are under the effects. Ya i know you should noticed in your sys info, but when you have 2 or 3 nukers eyeing you, a single healer keeping you up full time and also catching bomb heals from those that are around you... your sys info window scrolls quite fast and you dont notice *you hit your self ##*. But sorry getting off topic... but i do believe the chances of the link sticking needs to be looked at as well as the damage.tigrus wrote:I dare you to duel me and il prove you wrong![]()
DOT's are for those situations were you are a tanking mage, and you can be stunned, feared, are loosing too many hp to be effective, or in any other way stopped from nuking. The DOT just needs a link, only needs sap to keep the link alive, costs very little to do, etc etc.great83 wrote:Just out of couristy who has experimented with them and realize they are bugged? I would like to see GF maybe spending some time and see what they may need to do fix the bug with their damage not being effected by amps... And please GF dont tell me they are working perfectly fine.... Please fix them and give nukers a few more options in battle![]()
That depends what level you are, what level the mob is, and how susceptible that mob is to links. If you are facing mobs around your level, there is a good chance you'll get a link and hold it for long enough to deal a lot of damage. If you face mobs to far above your level, then there is a good chance you'll die.sidusar wrote:That leaves the chance to actually get a good link very small indeed.
