how about the kami log in their alts in kara guilds before a war to ban them from taking part? That fair?

It'd be informative, if nothing else... we'd start learning who all the alts are.

It might also light a fire under those responsible for fixing this bug. It may seem insignificant on the face of things, but when outpost wars and politics account for as much of the in game "content" as they do now, this bug is far more harmful and disruptive than it appears to be at face value.

In TnE's defense, Spriteh had no reason to remember the existence of this bug (it is exceedingly rare for anyone to be banned from these fights), and I myself have known Therowan accidentally quit team in the way she described in tell with you (as illustrated in your screenshot). Therefore, I believe that the second "incident" is just an unfortunate result of Row trying to choose "talk" from the context menu, and missing-clicking due to lag.

It'd be really great to see more development of content and storyline here, but to blame the buyers who picked this MMO and its dev team off the trash-heap of final bankrupcty proceedings for this sad lack, is unfair and counterproductive. Nevrax didn't come through on many of their grand promises, but that lack is the reason the game is now owned and managed by Gameforge. We can only hope that the measures being taken now will mean cash flow in the future to allow for development that will keep Ryzom moving. If the development stagnates for long enough, the game will die, and with it, Gameforge's investment. I very much doubt that is what any investor would have as a goal, and I don't think failure is GF's goal either.

Hello people,

First of all, the original issue brought up in this thread is indeed being looked into by both the developers and Customer Service departments. As its an issue which involves gameplay, if we were to remove or add a feature (I'm not promising anything here), it would require more effort and time than just snapping a finger I am afraid. So please be patient, constructive, understanding, and informative to new players during Outposts instead of flamming and exploding on the forums. Yelling out bloody murder and bad things will get you no where.

As for content, a month or so ago Phelan was nice enough to give us all a good run through of the new plans Gameforge wanted to bring into Ryzom. However, the inconvenience of new owners means needing time for (re)evaluation of plans in development, transition, and so forth. Now that the majority of this phase is past, Marjo has been keeping the player base abreast on the current workings of the developers. You can find these in the Announcements and Feedback forums.

And on the note of CSR and Events, these two teams had to go through the reevaluation, restructuring, and training phases as well. Now that the transition phase is just about over, as stated in the previous paragraph, things are starting to move. Yes, that means live events should be seen very soon. Therefore, even though you may not see any change at the moment, people in the background are indeed quite busy.

I'd like to apologize if any of you feel that things are stagnant and that the Event Team is no more, however, that is not the case.

Best regards,

Kye may not be able to post an answer to this, So, I hope he doesn't mind me taking the liberty, he is moving to another country with a heavy work schedule that will prevent him playing Ryzom.

Tydamus, there are a lot information hidden in the Ryzom forums, but I only can keep track on them, if I read all articles at the time they are published. It is still my opinion that a forum is by far inferior than a neat manged webside, to compile essential information.

GameForge tried to use the Announcements sub forum to compile all information for the current and future communities. Still that particular sub forum lacks the information what the plans are for further development of open and unfinished content enhancing projects like the Ryzom Ring and the Kitin Lair, or major upgrades to the PvP envirenmoent like the Spires. The information I remember is, that all development efforts on each of those projects was stopped.

Instead there are some rather small changes to the current ruleset.
Maybe Gameforge should make clear that they at the moment only attempt to make the game more attractive to new customers, and not for the current communities, and to make the ruleset more competitive to the other offers of the market. . (This doesn't mean that the planned changes are bad, they are good and will be appreciated by young and old).

Summa sumarum what will happen in the future is
  • no new content
  • changes of several rulesets
thlau

PS. and suggesting that one, one month old, easy overlooked posting in the Roleplaying forum announces a change in the event team politics is expecting much, isn't it?
