Ah, but if a person no longer finds enjoyment in the game because what they once loved is gone, it's a waste of money every month (or however you pay) to stay.

I'm not saying I'm leaving yet, I'm stubborn and still think I can find something, but I know many many people that have left because Ryzom just doesn't offer the same things it once did.

I'm not sure if I'm going off topic by the way, I'm not quite clear on what the topic here actually is.

The topic is to keep all these discussions in here instead of the other thread.

Strange, to me it still does.
Just because, it ephasized on PvP lately, the owners changed and some new people arrived does not mean its a differnt game.

I´ll never understand that particular view of things.

I read a bunch of stuff about Neutrals being unable to participate in FvF stuff. In regards to faction point based stuff? Darn right. Faction items (like those old pretty skirts I keep seeing?!), nope, none for neutrals.

When you want to talk about changes in game mechanics and you want to talk about factions and aspects that MAY exclude neutrals...

Sit back a second and consider, realistically, if what you are suggesting being implemented is something that will AFFECT neutrals.

Camps of NPCs in the middle of zones (make them open pvp zones, whatever you want)... affect Neutrals if they are in that area. If it is a PvP zone, then they become potential targets. If the camps are friendly ONLY toward their aligned faction, then you affect Neutrals.

In turn, it's only a bit fair that they can make an equal response.

Does that make sense?

As it stands, Outposts were largely a Faction based "thing". They aren't as much anymore (if they ever were - it was their intention from what I have read, however). Neutrals can, and do participate in that PvP.

So far as PvP in general is concerned? If you wanna do it, fine, have a ball. The only parts of PvP I don't want to see? All the BS smack talk flying back and forth. All the OOC angst and anger and crap that flies back and forth.

Don't want to see it, don't look? Sure, no problem. I do try not to look at things I don't want to see, but that isn't helping convince ANYONE to play, if that's the situation, you know?

Rambling, but felt the need to chime in as a Roleplaying Neutral (not as in "true neutral" alignment nor pacifistic. I am not Switzerland, Nor am I a D&D Druid), who sometimes PvPs. :P

The concept that any person's ideas and preferences take precedence or are better than anyone else's is something I find abhorrent.

As very well expressed by the language and insults being thrown about by someone who says he doesn't want a thread closed.

your very posting whoever marks you as contrary to you're own ideal, by implying those who have views different from you are abhorrent, thus not allowed the liberty to think that way?

But You do follow others ideas, be it of influence , position, experience or wisdom. It what education is, what morals are, what rules and laws are.

What this and many other threads lack is respect and politeness, both to the topic and the other posters. What i find abhorrent it the general need of folks to vent frustrations, egos and emotions, none of which benefit the community or the progress of the games development. If you wish to help then do so, if you are bored, play something else, if you are dreamy eyed and hopeful of a bygone atys.. wake up..that atys will not return. The game may not have evolved especially fast but the community has, and that is the true dynamic of the game, and one you have to live with ultimatly.
