give the new event staff time to be trained ans use the tools they have.
i was just giving a reference to Ring tools. I am sure events will be much harder then ring scenarios. as a tester yourself you should know that its not easy getting it right.
No offense was intended and trimming the quote was not meant to make it sound bad. :o It seems I simply misunderstood what you wrote, and I apologise for that. When I notice something in a post that I feel a need to respond to, I sometimes have "tunnel vision"...it's like riddles, actually, in that I always fail to solve riddles because of focusing too much on one or two details that are irrelevant to the whole.

Anyway, on the subject of event staffing and running, it is as someone else mentioned not only a matter of learning the tools but also being familiar with the lore. I'd say it should also be a matter of knowing how to roleplay (to drive the event characters), but the old Jolt staff didn't really have a grasp of that either so there isn't a precedent upon which to expect it.

I was thinking more along the lines of nepotism in the Ari team but hey, maybe that's just my crazy thinking.

Edit:

To be fair, some of them seemed pretty good to me (though I'm nowhere near as accomplished a roleplayer as you), but I do agree it sometimes went a bit wonky.

Funny, I seem to see more of that kind of thing _now_ than I did then. Or maybe I was golden boy with the Jolt CSRs?

Ah, maybe a whole bunch of your friends (and just generally people in the same guilds) leaving when Jolt got fired was just my imagination then :o

Mmm you ever considered it was dissatisfaction with the path the game is obviously heading?

I'm sure I dont need to point out all the "whines" by Samsara in various forums.

Surely if they were _ALL_ CSRs (wow, that would make like every Jolt CSR a member of the Samsara by your logic, since there were quite a few of us active before the event) they wouldnt need to complain on the forums, since such nepotism would mean they obviously get what they want all the time.

And I am sure _you_ are happy with the new situation. Got what you wanted out of it eh?
Wow. Just wow. Since i don't know what happened between GF and Jolt, ( and I am pretty sure that only a very few people know and they won't be telling ) I can't make a reasonable reply to that. But what I can say based on what I have seen in game is that support is happening even with a new team. I think that certain players are making life hard on the new CSR team on purpose and in my opinion its pretty childish. It's kind of like cutting off your nose to spite your face.

It also seems a bit childish and accusatory to say that to sprite just because he is taking a wait and see attitude and trying to look at things rationally. Come on now The community here is better than that- I don't mind people complaining and voicing concerns, someone has to do it. What I do mind is people full of gloom and doom with no realism or ability to at least look at the big picture. I don't envy the tasks ahead of the new CSR team and GF but I am grateful that they exist and the game exists.

*edited for retarded typos on my part no "content" changes and no warranty on lack of yet more typos :p

Ah, that must be it... silly me.

Yeah; I found that truely amazing to be honest.

Edit: Thanks Nara; nothing new here though... I got it when Jolt were around, I get it now, and I'm sure I'll get it in the future too

bah sprite :( just when i took the time to stick up for you... I don't think that all the Samsara were CSRs, but even if they were its no matter now. I am sure GF knows who used to be a CSR and its really none of our business.

Ah sorry Nara :( I'm sure not all of them were either, but its no secret by any means that some were.

Edit: Just to be clear on things, I have the utmost respect for the ex-CSR who stayed and got on with the game like everyone else. Its just when people who profess to love the game so much they give up their free time throw a fit because their boss' contract didn't get renewed.... well that p's me off.

I'm gonna drop out of this before I say anything someone might regret.

Still amused at the idea of Samsara being involved in nepotistic CSR scandal though... "Neutral guild left out of content is secretly running Atys! Lack of TPs is part of massive plot say sources!"
