I would rather see a drawing than a screenshot as login window. There are some nice artist's renderings of the mysterious planet and Jena and the races. Much more suggestive.

And, remember the art contests about a year ago? I can't find it now, but I recall some really excellent material, especially from the French players.

Well, we are not that stuck on the current picture.
It was something we had ready, more related to the game than the last one.
If you got something better, we might change it.
The loading screen needs some rework anyways, I agree it is not really that intuitive.

Wha?!? You mean better "ideas"...or actual better samples. I think it'd kick @$$ if we'd be able to toss you guys some art/graphics/3D related things and actually see them implemented in-game if we released the rites to them as well. Maybe make a contest out of it, I smell a fun idea !!

Phew, I really didn't think my post would stir up so much passion. But it is really interesting to see all the different opinions. Just goes to show you can't please all of the people all of the time.

Mind you if it sets off a contest for some artwork made by the Homins here, that would be cool.

launcher (not loading) background only needs to be pretty.

pretty and game related background is better ofcourse, but then you need to move or get rid of those buttons that are blocking the view.

i'm too are not happy with current launcher background.
