QFE I have personal experience with SWG being a former 3 year veteran! These "small" losses are nada compared to hours upon hours the SWG let their players take along with all the xp and items acquired during that time and not to mention the bugs that got reintroduced. So I say please have a little patience! And for the staff here thank you for keeping us in the loop and keep up the good work! Cheers!!!

This is the kind of think that is keeping me away from the game, I have lost faith in Ryzom.
I understand your concerns, but Marjo quoted that the Telehouse power management team located a faulty piece of power supply equipment. If I should bet, its the UPS system that has the problem, and not the main power supply. That would explain, why they weren't able to handle the power outage.

Hehe, at my workplace too, we have the important servers on a beefy and expensive separate UPS. Problem was, at last blackout, the UPS beeped once, then instantly shut itself down without warning. I suppose it wanted to conserve battery juice :O

I pay just as much as you do monthly for the services we both receive, and I am happy to say that I don't mind these things. They happen with many games, and somtimes cannot be prevented. Stuff happens and then it gets fixed. Now they've found out what has been causing the outages, hopefully now that they know, they can fix it.

well i must say this to yr reply on the cohern post: I did wirte a ticket and i was told so sry nothing can be done. Well i think there is something that can be done my stuff was used 4 very long time.They was not part of the roll back so no resoin 4 it to be missing. they also told us not to send any more tickets, What they dont want to help us? Is there going to be any suport 4 game play? Can we expect this evry time we have trouble from our gameing expernce? I would also like to know what the point is of haveing (csr)they just say i dont know, cant help but we wil report , then i never here any thing again from them or anyone. but i do see them yelling at players about chat topic. why is it that they cair more about what is said in chat than what happend to my stuff, priority issues come in to play here i think. so in my opinon cohern hit the nail on the head. I have seen no sign of them takeing cair of us players. so it would save them time if they put it on the start page ( Dont bug us with your problems) cause thats what i was told prty much.

thankyou for the response about todays problem BUT 9 days ago I logged into a totaly naked toon and everyday I send in a ticket and everyday I get the same response. (sorry for the delay) with some new problem that has arised.
I feel for the GM's since it is not their fault and im sorry if eachday my temper has gotten shorter and shorter fused but scheeh 9 days to restore some armor and items from my bag ?? at this point I dont even care if you just roll my account back to the day before ya all started having these problems. I understand a power outage is not something you can control but restoring a account for lost items surely can NOT take this long.

in another game i played, some friends got the account hacked and lost everything..
it took 3 weeks to the company, a company brassing more millions than ryzom will never see, to get all the stuff fixed...

The electric company wouldn't no, but the data centre surely has some, sadly in blackouts, UPS only keeps you running long enough to shut down cleanly.
It seems they're not using a gen set at the data centre tho, or they're not using one they can refill 'live'.
During a 2 day blackout period in North America, that covered Ontairo, Quebec, New York, and some of the eastern US, the radio stations all stayed on the air (they have to legally however here), but very few other businesses were in business, most other IT shops don't use generators it seems here either.

The restoration of characters affected by this bug has begun already, hopefully it will not take too long to get them all restored to their former glory.
