What I find interesting is that not more Matis have come to visit the Tryker water world seeing as they're fully equippted with water wings

But seriously, I agree with Raynes, if you're going to roleplay, make sure you roleplay in the story, otherwise it doesn't mean anything. Is this less fun? Well if I were to run around claiming I received the Force from some watery tart who lobbed a scimitar at me, well people would just think I was crazy.

First of all I dont role play. I dont ever remember saying I did. Nothing I write is "roleplaying". I'm a guild leader with the responsibility to lead my people to success. None of these responsiblities to me are to be considered roleplaying. You all assumed I was and that was your mistake. I dont compare REAL peoples accomplishments to some made up story that has no requirement for teamwork, dedication, or persistance.

Raynes, If you can provide me with 1 "players" name that did what I said my guild did first, which was travel to Tyker land cities from the Matis lands. I will withdraw my claim to have been first. You read a statement and compared it to a fictional set of events that no player even took part in. Why you would do this i can not understand. Comparing two things that have nothing to do with each other. One is a group of players the other is a made up story that no real person ever had anything to do with.

This is whats on my webpage, where in there does it say we claim to be the first. Can you even read and understand the english language "20mike", you didnt even get the date right, makes you look like one smart cookie. I'm not even sure why Im bothering to even reply to your absolutly pitiful remark.

It has been made very clear to me that most of you will complain about anything you read, you will come to your own conclusions what the words mean, and decide what you want to believe.

As for the rest of you that might have enjoyed seeing the new things in the game that you might not have gotten to see yet, you invited to visit our website to see them in the future. I will not post on this board again.

Oh no.. it wasnt. So why would you assume the poster is roleplaying?

It wasn't posted in the roleplaying forum and therefore why are you complaining that it's somehow ruining your roleplaying?

Anything else that anyone wants to nitpick about this thread?

We have a misunderstanding here. The reason I pointed out that you were incorrect is because I was under the impression that you were roleplaying and your post completely ignores several key elements to the history of the game. Why did I think that your post was roleplaying? This is what you posted:

The way your wrote that makes it sound as if the game, your accomplishment, and the effects of it are real. That is what roleplaying is about. If you weren't roleplaying why didn't you just post something like the following:
"Today I became the first Matis player to make it to Tryker lands."

Wow, 2 sentences can cause soo much flame, its kind of amazing what people can read into things. Think if he had posted that he had won a game of tic tac toe, everyone would be up in arms about how people had won tic tac toe years before he ever played it etc...

What this guild DID do was bring back the first Tryker to Matis and bring the first Matisians to Tryker. This guild also did it as a guild, not just one or two people sneaking through, they came into Tryker with like 20 people from their guild. So it IS a guild accomplishment...

If you think it's jealousy you are sadly mistaken. He wrote something that upon reading seemed incorrect. He said he was the first Matis. Game background clearly states otherwise. I posted a correction. Upon which he explained that he wasn't the first Matis, but the first player Matis. It was a misunderstanding.

I think for the most part it is not really what they even say. I know in game I have found many of those in this guild to be quite good people. On the boards though, I find them horribly annoying since they tend to misrepresent the truth and generally post with a superior attitude. A title like "Minyatur connects the 4 lands, to unite all of Atys!" really gives one a different idea on what was done.
Flaming this guild on wanting to write about it's accomplishments and nit-picking on specific details of a plot not really even connected ingame are just a waste of time. Ceiran and Stigian when it gets to this point, just stop replying and let them stew.
