Mmh sounds for me to be very good balanced, if it is as described here.

You need lots of people to beat those highend bosses, good equipment and knowledge of your skills and its usage.

That all for few items, craftplan and christall, that are meant to be very rare as complete set and to be worn as set by the highest ranked Homins on Atys only...those who are able to really gather and lead Hominkind.

Be sure, that this equipment was never meant to be worn by every "nooby" Homin (e.g. like me), but only by those with speciality between Hominkind and in Homin society (few they are). Consider it this way.

It will need supreme coordination to get a set of 1 armor in a proper time, but it is not that difficult as it seems to achieve, just will need someone with the leaderability who sees the way...

I think we alll agree, that having an old AEN has never been something special, since almost everyone had one (but not so with Sergio and co, as only few existed ever)...
Let`s wait a while before calling for rebalance here...

Getting something special needs you to be special...that should never get out of mind...

Just to think about...

P.S. I have never understood why Nevrax again and again did not spread the thoughts behind a balance/decision in a proper way when patched new things (just twice at the beginning of SoR - Patch 1 and 2 with nice RP-explanation)

Maybe someone from Leanon can spoil me (for example by PM) or us with the stats of the new armor pieces?
I like to know if the stats are superior to the choice npc heavy armor pieces.

I only saw Sergios Trousers (Codpiece? :D ) so far and they were said to be like Aens Armor.

something which isn't about the npc bosses:

When you fight an enemy (player) now, you cant see how many dmg he does.. which is very annoying since you have to look ur stats for when you should use selfheal and other powers.

the /guildmotd is very coowl. but you have to relog to see it? how about make the msg show up in the guild window?

just my thoughts.

There's a keen difference between a fight requiring tactics and teamwork, which I am all for. And one that requires only mighter numbers and a huge zerg fest.

From what I've seen, the current boss fights are the later. There is no tactic besides "Oh my Jena kill the bandits!" and then pray that you have the damage to over come the bosses health regen before he despawns and his henchmen come back to spank you.

That's not tactics, that's fifty homins running around like chickens with their heads cut off and whaping NPCs with hightened HP and regen.

Kudos for -content-. I'm thankful to have that atleast, but the concept that the boss fights, atleast Sergio as he's the only one we got very far with, are tactical or require keen skills is not something I saw.

Agreed.
In fact, my experience with Lixi shows ALL skills except elemental and heal are completely useless.

That's what disappoints me the most.

So you all honestly expect to find a strategy in the first 24 hours of them being up? On the first try?
When Aen (and the others) first appeared everyone shouted she/they was/were unbeatable.
Then came strategists...
And these strategists changed their tactics with each new incarnation of Aen.

So, why not wait a while and look for a strategy to beat them and NOT use just brute force?
Maybe there is a trick after all? How CAN you know right now that there is none?

I don't have any personal experience with any Ryzom bosses, but... if the problem with the boss mobs is simply superior HP regen, and there's no way to work around that, then yes, you end up in a situation where DPS is the sole determiner. And if 20 people just aren't enough to provide that amount of DPS, then... well, you need more people :)

I assume that those bothered by this have checked all weapon and magic types for new resistances or weaknesses implemented with the patch?

As for equipment rewarding - well, I gather this is supposed to be the best stuff available? It sounds quite fair to me to need to go on 200+ raids of 50 people each to get a full set, if you're just "a no-body with high skills". Leaders and PvE main tanks of large guilds, who have a community of their own backing them up, are the only ones who should really expect to achieve full sets. Otherwise, you'll eventually end up with this supposedly supreme gear being de-facto standard for anyone with a couple 250's.

I guess that sheds some light on the new npc. Can't say I'm not slightly dissapointed as it will no doubt be the exact craftplans of the npc bosses, them being Marauders, Q200 plans, .... Sure there would be a possibility to craft those sets or missing pieces, you need the crystal afterall so it won't be ... easy; I guess that's good.
In secret I was hoping these npc's had something to do with broken ambercubes from the forthcomming Kitin Lair; ofcourse they still can eh? Or am I expecting to much on such additions?

At least I'm glad it sets the record straight on the 'repair' abilities, which is a big relief to me.

Now I'm just wondering who will be able to buy those actual plans, what type of requirments there would be to acquiring them.

Overall, if those are the drops, then I guess I'm happy as a player and a HA crafter; the difficulty is there, the numbers are needed, just hoping there actually IS some strategy to beating them and not the sole zerg-fest, but I'll leave that to the strategists to discover or comment on; the scarcity of the drops and the statistics don't worry me at this rate. Maybe when the old sets start to fall apart HA crafters could become even more in demand ...
