Here is anonter great thing I found out when I was healing a larger team where noone really was main tank (a bunch of crazy offensive (destroyers) casters on high level mobs)

I made a macro that I bound to a key that "Target what my current target is targeting"

And, later an even more specialized macro "Target the tank, target what he is targeting and target what that target is targeting". That target is the one that will take damage and needs a heal.

Target the tank.
The tank has the current monster as target, target that.
The monster has the person who will get hit as target, target that target
Heal!

For tankhealing that macro will always heal the person the monster is attacking. Go to the macro editor, lets say the teammate#1 is usually the tank:

New macro:
Actions->Target Teammate#->1
Actions->Target my current target's target.
Actions->Target my current target's target.
Actions->Use action->1

Teammate 1 have to be somone always attacking (i.e the tank, a melee person or an elemental magician NOT healing)
if your heal is on a different shortcut number than 1 change the last line to that number or move a heal there.

(( hehe, thanks for the advice! It's an old healer's trick (that I have used exaustively) in almost any game and helps a LOT! ))

setting up a few macros is a great way of chucking in a offensive spell or two when you get a chance.

Set up the healing macros as moonfeather suggests, but also have one or two to 'target entity X' (where X = the tank) then add in a line to cast a offensive spell on the tanks target.

That way, when you're button mashing heals, you can cast a damage spell and get some offensive xp too without bothering to click on the target mob and back to your tank again. Handy.

*disclaimer*
This has caused me and my team to wipe before. Never cast an offensive spell on a mob before you are sure that a tank has hit it! Healers can be squishy.

Yay another healer :D

faster casting means good magic amps send me a tell in game will try my hardest to make u something suitable.

ps i always endevour to not use time credits as speed is everything and a healer is always reacting so response time is critical.

Don't worry about falling behind a few lvls always work for a healer the most highly prized but under valued member of any hunting team.

Amen! Many times we have said "if we only had one more healer; even a baby one, we could take this guy..."
