When I first heard of it, it sounded awesome. Not only was it the standard Christmas change within Ryzom, or the one time Easter Egg hunt, but now they added a Halloween event. Its sounds fun, and I'm looking forward to something new to spice things up for a few days. It also marks great improvement for Nevrax as it means they don't have to spend every waking hour dedicated to something serious. Its great financial improvement.

Second, the Ring did have lore. It had an event if Im not mistaken.

And lastly, here's a little sneak peek at WarCry for those anxious to see what many suprises may be!

I played a text based MMO for 8 years and they always did something special for Halloween and many other holidays. I managed to collect many rocks and lumps of coal. It really helped in forming a community of players as it was a special event that people could reminisce on.

I enjoyed the xmas yubo's, the Easter egg hunt, candy cane staffs and snowmen. I think events like these allow the Nevrax staff to loosen up a bit. It is like a wacky episode on a TV series, a time to lighten up and have some fun.

I look forward to it.

I've got alot of respect for the heavy RPers and after all this is an MMORPG but at the same time theres plenty of light and non-RPers playing the game and this is just one of the very few times RL is going to influence the game hopefully bringing some good fun with it. If they started bringing in those 'Happy _retarded name day_ that nobody gives a toss about' then that'd be be something else.
This isn't bad, a bit of give and take please.

I intended this thread to be a fun guessing discussion about what was to come in Slaughter Week. I should point out that what is advertised on the news doesn't state there will be pumpkins etc, that was just my guess.

Its very likely there will be RP stuff instead or as well as judging from the website. It sounds like killing will be involved at least.

heh sounds fun regardless of the fact that I am not christian blah blah blah anything that has to do with fun I"m there and i try to leave the real world hangups at the door. So they are putting halloweeny into ryzom i'm curious to see what happens
