Hmmm... That would be an Idea. Yes...
Building the canister into the handle of the wapon and some sort of switch to give of short bursts of Co2... *contacts his friends, if they think its managable*

Aren't those "waving" weapons actually "vibrating" ones? I only own one, a waving Tanner sword, and it looks like it's chopping real fast, not much of what I'd call "waving"... unless you refer to sine waves and the like ;)
I think a nebulous/gaseous effect might look cool, but not exactly for a Tryker weapon... it might be quite some challenge to create that vibro effect.

And to add to the list, I was thinking of building a Fyros Stavon(-us/-yx) sword and maybe a Strammel(...) rifle, wonder when I'll find the time for that.

Dunno the exact definition or the "Waving" weps/sheilds just thinking what could emulate the effect as it looks on screen.

A "vibro effect" actually isn´t that hard to do ;)
You just need something from a "very special" Shop and strip it of its "Skin", to use it in the hilt or Blade of the wapon :D *cougcough*

ayurveda wrote:Hi Jayneylou ^^ I have questions: how would you make one? What would you use?

I'd like to make a matis or tryker MA (my fav is the fyros but you just *can't* wear that :p ) for myself and maybe a friend for some cosplay in conventions, but I'd mainly use paper, skin-coloured and dyed clothes. As I'm not really skilled in using a needle I can already predict it'll be ugly :p Oh and the wig is very important too.
I can use whatever fabrics would be appropriate from leather to silk or any artificial alternative. Depends on the quality wanted. I am quite skilled at crafting in RL just not in game. I'm in Portugal atm but as soon as I get back I'll make Spacehippy some armour and post a pic of it.
Seeya all soon
love
Jayney....oh btw wigs not provided

I look at cosplay outfits done in Japan and they really know how to do some fancy costumes, like especially mecha. Who outside of Japan actually makes polished surfaces like that? It's always cardboard or styrofoam, and that stuff does not paint well. I don't know what the Japanese use... if it's fiberglass or just polystyrene. I guess it's because it can be sanded smooth.
Mmmm, hot dog, I'd love to see some heavy Matis female armor done like that. or Aen armor.
My idea is to make REAL armour as in I'd make costumes from fabrics as close to the items in game as possible. As for the materials...it is possible to make everything, including the AEN armour quite easily. Like I said I'm going to experiment but I am pretty sure it'd all be possible. Have faith
