sure, I just wasnt entirely sure what you were aiming at
in some respects its an awesome idea, but for the casual type guild like DCP I doubt we would have any punishment/sanction system (but I'm sure your already aware of that so we'll speak of it no more)
as far as trading goes i believe there should be some form of fair trading, ie you scratch my back and i'll scratch yours blah blah blah, none of this "i wont trade with you because..."
...forgot what i was gonna say now :S

As far as I can see, a dynamic GvG OP system basically requires there to be no alliances whatsoever.spoloh wrote:It is truly amazing how most posts in this thread say absolutely nothing about the initial idea...
Why would you attack someone who helps you out?
Why would you trade crystals with someone who might attack you?
What happens when every guild has one OP? (You didn't mention it, but I often see GvG coupled with "1OP per guild")
The only way I can see this happening is if "everyone" is allied with everyone else, and only use OPs for some "PvP fun". I really doubt that's going to happen.

(noob opinions)
wouldnt a FvF be better?
that way guilds will form alliances to help other same-factioned guilds get set up with an OP and help to defend them from the opposite faction?
a fair trade system would tie in there too

Re: A vision of Cho (Golden age)
1 OP per guild is very nice indeed, I didn't write it only because it will not be possible at the start (maybe later)
The newborn "major" guilds will get the lower q ops first but then they will climb up the op q ladder, what will inevitably result in guilds having more than 1 op...
Also check out the number of guilds there are on Cho atm. And how many guilds there were on Arispottle once the ops came live?
But the main thing is GvG fights for ops... This way there is no NEED for the factions at all...
Respectfully your,

Re: A vision of Cho (Golden age)
The problem we have that has developed on Arispotle is that FvF leads very quickly to a positive feedback loop.mercury7 wrote:(noob opinions)

One side gets stronger to more join that side, so it gets stronger and gets more outposts, which make it stronger and get more people to join it and... you get the picture. There's no real balancing mechanism and FvF and lack of controling measures get it out of hand.
OPs were supposed to be GvG, not FvF. Spires are supposed to be FvF.

Re: A vision of Cho (Golden age)
as it stands at the moment there should be enough OPs to go round fairly, ive only seen 3 guilds, at least in fyros anyways

Some kind of 'code' would be a great idea.
I'm sure there are enough of us around that just want to get back on Atys for a little fun (it's still a game you know?).
I'll talk more with the 'code' pioneers in game. I'm sure we can hammer something out between us all.
