If the two are seperated and distinct, with the one not adversely affecting the other then things can go, relatively, fine but the PvP players LIKES to impose upon others. When that's other PvP players, hey, fine go for it, but exclusive access, territory holding, interference in interaction with non PvP activated players, etc, etc, that's all impact on others even if it is indirect. The problem at the heart of it is that the PvPer's fun seems to, necessarily, derive at the expense of someone elses.
I have to disagree here... PvE and PvP can mix well since PvP is optional. The issue with this situation is that someone ran past a digger and dragged aggro with them. The digger got killed due to the aggro train, and the digger was upset. I have been trained twice in Ryzom so far, each time I was not rezzed when killed. Both times were not PvP related, and the individual who trained me kept running due to the aggro still chasing them. I didn't get their name, and I imagine they didn't get mine, what with all of the chaos. I simply accepted the situation, dug my DP away, and went on with my evening both times. I accepted the situation as one of those unfortunate experiences which happens from time to time. And I was in a rather aggro intense area, so I expected to get killed a few times anyway. The only difference in the two situations is that the person who trained the digger was engaged in an OP battle. I don't really feel that my opinion is arrogant... I have yet to engage in PvP in Ryzom, so it's not like I am arguing to defend something I've done.

I think that's a better set of terminology to use than 'neutral' which has other connotations in the game. I don't think it's that drastically important however and it was more important to fix the neutral healing bug.
It would be nice if an OP battle participant could heal a non-participant, but that part of the scenario probably never popped up in the minds of the dev's when attempting to fix the exploit.

Somewhat.
With exclusive content and boosts to non-PvP actions and capabilities it isn't entirely optional or consensual.

Well, if they didn't provide exclusive content, PvP would be incorporated throughout all of Atys without the ability to keep it somewhat seperate from PvE. And with the need to boost revenue, Nevrax has to offer content for both sides of the coin. I imagine more PvE content will be coming soon with R2 being used by the developers to produce more content with less dev time (in theory).
As for the boosts and capabilities... are you referring to Spires? Or is there something currently enabled for boosting one's actions with PvP now? As I said before, I have yet to engage in PvP so I am a fair bit inexperienced with it in Ryzom.

It sadly is never about anyones Intention when posting its how its percived, what ever the intent of a post can be "flavored" by the person reading and postings on bias towards the specific issue. A neutral/non pvp tagged person should be rezable plain in simple regardless. that is the bottom line. My intent on my original post was to point out that fact clealy, However i failed.

Outposts - PvP - Crystals (currently exclusive), special materials (exclusive), flowers (exclusive).
The special materials provide boosts to digging, crafting and fighting allowing for better armour, better weapons etc. The crystals provide experience point boosts. Currently all exclusively available through PvP.
I'm told things have improved in the Prime Roots PvP areas but it used to be that the PvP area was the only practical one to get decent superior materials from, requiring that you expose yourself to PvP possibilities.
Episode 2 (the temples) and their rewards were explicitly linked to PvP only.
Factionalisation is a related issue and it does feel like people are being forcibly pushed to choose one, which is a pity. I really hope this pressure doesn't go any further than it already has with the loss of teleports and I hope access is restored to at least the towns for Neutrals.

The non-participant *is* rezzable... apparently not by participants of the OP battle at this time, however. It's something that was probably overlooked when they fixed the exploit. I don't imagine the dev's were thinking people would be digging next to an OP battle, so it's probably just a simple bug that can be simply fixed.

PR Supremes = PvP is and always was a myth. Four out of five Q250 PR mat spots are and always have been in non-PvP areas.
Please stop perpetuating the misinformation.

Please pay attention to what I write.
As I said, I'm told the situation has improved. I don't spend much time in the PR. It used to be the case that the non-PvP area was so rife with patrols that digging there was an exercise in masochism leaving the PvP area as the only one practical to dig in.
IIRC 'supernodes' are still only available in the PvP zone, but feel free to correct me if that is wrong. When speaking in a wider context the historical situation is still relevent. If it has improved, that's all to the good.

How would you like to see these items incorporated into PvE?
As a neutral player, I have yet to feel pushed one way or the other between the two factions.

The Ring should, allegedly, provide an alternate way to get hold of Crystals.
I'm hoping the Kitin nests will provide a way to get the special materials, and some other possible stuff, away from the OP issue.
Flowers we haven't heard anything on, but perhaps they could be incorporated into the drops of existing plants.
I would also reactivate faction honour points but make them earned for doing Kami/Kara missions as well as for doing PvP.
