patch will make it easyer for user, but it still not as good as "ln -s interface_main.icfg interface_alt.icfg". (dont search it in windows.). it would make main and alt to share same interface file, change something in one, log to other and it's there.
syncing landmarks would be one reason for shared interface and macros for shared key file.

Well that also helps to get your flags/macros over to your new character but required to quit the game for a few minutes. While this new feature is realy nice if you create a new char, no need to go outside the game and copy 2 files. Also not much people know that trick or are that handy and don't risk it

every time you run Ryzom, you risk losing your landmarks if you dont have backup. ask around, it happens

Jackoba has played for 18 months and was only once ever moved to plant a flag! What momentous event could have brought such a thing about? Where is it and what label does it bear? Of course, could just be something like "What does this do? Testing, testing." or, like Ani said - "Warning! Soap here" - but I'll bet it's something the authorities should know about, like "RIP Rashan. (Samsara hoard, 87 daps left)"!
