i'm not sure about excluding the special items or not, but would it really disadvantage the long term players? i mean exactly these players will be also those with the most high skills and therefor already have the advantage to be good in all 3/4 classes

and sign me up please

bah i go to sleep an look what happens.

ok first thing im gunna do is add the names of the people to my first post..

BOOSTED ITEMS:

After a rethink heres the new rule (will be posted on front post as well)

Aen armor is still NOT ALLOWED
Episode1 (honour point purchased) SHIELDS/CASTERPANTS are NOT ALLOWED.
however. a Kami or karavan crafted OP boosted weapons are ALLOWED.

I see no reason to disallow fighters (ranged or melee or mages) from running around as long as they remain in the arena.
You can't run and cast, or face the oppisite direction and run and melee. so im expecting all fights to be static (also allowing for multiple fights to happen)

RANGE:

It's either static ranged(instead of a melee weapon) or not at all - im sorry, i know this doesnt bode well with the select few people who have a high level ranged skill but i have no intrest in watching 2 level 250 melee people with a level 50 pistol skill shootin each other for 20 mins. And if i call a time limit on one class i will have to call a time limit on the rest of the classes. which isnt fair.

Aura's/Enchats

Quite simply

SELFHEALS - YES

Aura's - YES

Enchants - ONLY IN MAGE CLASS

(btw if i feel that sum1 is delibartly stalling so their aura's come back - you WILL have points deducted. I would suggest u use aura's as a last resort. becuase you will be fighting(at least) every 5 mins)

Feel free to keep putting forward your views. like i said, the rules will change prob more then once as of now. So if u can put a point across where i will agree, then yes no problem im happy to change. :)

Well yes it would, the long term players spend time collecting their gear for pvp, disallowing it seems pretty stupid imo, as your gear is your only advantage over someone of the same level, and as we all know there are plenty of 250s now. Unless were making everything even, by fighting with lvl 0 chars :) , exactly the same armour, exatly the same weapons. There's no reason to disallow one variable but ignore all the others.

I still disagree on the equipment thing, surely the whole points of getting aen/event items is for pvp events. Seems a waste not to include them, the best pvper is the one who comes with the best skill and the best equipment, thats just how it is. It's not like a first person shooter where 80% of it rests on tactics/skill with 20% on the equipment. I thought i was collecting this equipment for a reason lol. So why would aen/event weapons be disqualified, but boosted items allowed?
There is some irony in the fact that an Aen brings you even more Aen armour :)

As for long time players... oh cmon :) having 3 masters in 1h, 2h and AoD is short time players then? rofl

No, Xera is right, disallowing Aen brings on an equal step newer and older guilds, gives new names the opportunity to have some wins, encourages HA crafters to strive harder showing reverence towards their constant, long time effort, rather to a one time lucky hunt.

On the other hand I have been dueling with people having tekkorn weapons and I know what happens if they get lucky and give you 2 criticals in a row: the fight is over before getting to its half. Plus OP weapons have a certain aspect easily to check. Boosted weapons by rubbarn on the other hand are impossible to check so they should be allowed mainly as it's not a roulette bonus but rather just very very good stats, and crafters always try to get this.

And no, I would love to participate but I dropped 2h long ago, still don't like it :)
But if you need a helper, please let me know.

Im sure there will be a selection of lvls there, the whole idea of having 3 sections to the event is that someone who can do a bit of everything is going to win overall, finishing relativly high in each is better than winning two and flunking the 3rd :)

As the example on the first posts shows.. Its possible to be the overall winner without winning in a class

common, its just a bit if fun ;)
