I don't think "there's no button for it" equals "you are not supposed to use it". There is no button for (just a few examples) taking screenshots or hiding the interface, yet we use these functions (and are supposed to). As long as there are slash commands available to the player interface, and as long as you can just TAB-complete them, I feel I am entitled to use them, or at least have a look at what they do.

ctrl f10. you don't have to type /ah save screenshot_jpg (or something similar) meaning at some point the devs decided that it was an addition to the final game that they wanted and not just a tool that could be implimented at a future date if they so wished. the comand is not in any documentation and isn't in the list of keys in the same way that '/follow' is listed or ctrl+f10 is in the list of keys. also just because something is there does not entitle you to use it. if it there was a bug that allowed you to exploit the game would you still use it?. this is why i and many others wanted clarification

Any edict would be nothing more than empty words until it's coded out/in. The list of things the dev's left unfinished is substantial. If they don't want these commands used they can code them out like they did debug and others.

Exactly. The zoom level is still changeable. Many of us find it useful. We know we are not "supposed" to use it, but it is still there, and it doesn't hurt anyone. The ability to use hawkers to transfer mats is still available (even though we have an official answer that it is okay, it seems exploitish).
If we can do it, and it doesn't hurt anyone, and it doesn't unbalance the game, I can't see what is wrong with it. It is simply a convienent little feature that helps us know what we have.

i think being pragmatic Nevrax need to have a reason for us not use it. the debug commands hung around for a long time after release but were removed eventually as you would expect. there were some commands in the debug that would be useful to everyone and i hope get implemented properly at some point.. but i digress
showing guild and apartment is a useful thing to do: checking to see if that set of q150 focus armor for a guildie is gathering dust in the hall without having to trek back to guild, or getting an order for something and being able to check apartment to know which supremes we might have missing. It stands to reason as homins we would keep a record of what we own so i cant see any motive for removal.
