Ontopic, iirc, Jackoba also took a screen of a /who at a given point when I asked (did you Jackoo?) it could be interesting to check it, also to see the evolution.
Offtopic, it is true that numbers don't stay equal during the span of the battle.
Offtopic, bleh, I was there since the beginning till the end barred a 3 min breack due to a crash

and my name not there, what a timing

heheh oops!
It should also be pointed out that spawning people don't show up in "/who".
Though I would be very interested in seeing the variations, I leave it to someone else to count other screenshots

I'm goin away IRL for the weekend to see Jyudas and Kostika plus a few of the Illuminati girls...
And honestly I think all of your points are on-topic actually

How is it that OPs became faction VS faction affairs?
If I remember right, that wasn't thier intent.
The outposts are not owned by Jena or Ma-duk, so I don't see how this is an accurate measure of faction strength.
All this really shows is how many people are sick enough to support an unprovoked attack on a peaceful guild VS how many people will answer a call of defense from like-minded players.
This was not a religious battle, but a battle between players with different ideas of what constitutes acceptable behavior in a game. In that light, it is depressing that the numers were not slanted overwhelmingly for the defense.

Thank you not for dragging this otherwise nice thread in the direction every other op related thread sadly goes. You could have the decency to give us your ingame name at least, btw.

EDIT:
Not gonna be drawn into an offtopic flame by mrshad, who by the forum join date really should know his/her history of that particular OP, and the general trend of OPs over the last few months.
Tut tut.

A bit offtopic, but although it is true that nothing gameplay wise says so, players from a same guild may be attacking or defending, and till now it has been more a players decision, but a few factors I think had a huge impact on them:
* first, they were released just after EP2, a huge FvF event with the temple construction. Timing factor
* second, well, I can't ignore a big loading screen that hints it´s FvF

according to the Chronicles of Erlan (sp) "the nexus had become a stake in the war blah blah".
Allowing ops to be more dynamic and more GvG could give more opportunities, but it may be not straightforward.

ah the john doe strikes again with his critisism.
firstly OP battle mechanics are skewed to be more than GvG. I dont know one guild that single handed could take a q250 op to more than say level 5-6 against another guild defending.
The attack had justification in terms that a karavan guild has set up shop on what we see as kami lands. Also LoA are maybe not as peaceful as you would make out. I see Toramo and a few others every time I PvP and I respect them greatly. Maybe they aint all out PvP but they know how to handle themselves.
KoO despite what you think of our game style is essentially a kami guild fighting for the kami with the support of the kami. That IMO made this a faction vs faction war.
please dont turn this thread into mudslinging. Many people on both sides were ery positive about last nights war. It was good natured, almost even, well fought by both sides and most of all fun. That is the biggest justification I can give for the attack
