Agreed. Outposts being taken is denying new content, spires will deny old content to _all_ players on the losing side (tagged or not). If things work out even it'll be a good time for the neutrals on the surface anyway I'm sure ;)

As for the rest of this thread I've been saying this stuff so long people kick me when I start up again ;) but here goes...

Yes there is a numbers imbalance.

No it isnt as big as some say, but also it is bigger than some would like you to believe (after all, as mentioned a lot of the Tryker Kara guilds dont get involved, or even help the Kami, and a large proportion of the neutrals help the Kami).

A larger % of Karavan players actively seek out PvP. A lot of Kami players will only fight defensively or when desperate.

Yes the imbalance is getting worse as more newbies join the OP holding guilds because, despite trade, donations and charity the OP holding guilds always get a decent proportion of the cats, and cats are the biggest advantage a new player can get.

The Karavan do trade with neutrals (and probably some Kami, but I couldnt speak for them). But of course in any trade there is an exchange. So the Kara give up some spare crystals, and get something else that is useful.

Don't know enough about handouts to comment on it. But I think its a little... hypocritical to claim to be so generous if you steal a mans business then give him a small proportion of its profits every so often to salve your conscience.

Here's a little reminder...

Soon the demand for xp cats wont be dependent on outposts, and everyone would be more balanced out when R2 comes out. To prove my reason, I quote one of Xavier's former weekly board Q&A:
Xavier Antoviaque wrote:
So, we carefully try to maintain strong links between the Ring and the rest of Ryzom: for example, one of the solutions envisaged for the attribution of XP within the scope of the Ring is the looting of XP catalysers, which would compel the players to keep on playing in Ryzom “Mainland” whatever happens, to turn them into real XP.
That is of course, if they did decide to stick with that idea.

Now you can all thank me for my research ;)

This does all depend how it ends up working but yes, it should somewhat compensate given the apparent difference in the demographics between Kami and Karavan players.

All things being equal though...

(0+5) != (100+5)

Actually not.
While you can have a ego and be ****. (as someone do).
What point is there then to have it?
I mean, if you proved to be the best athlete, the best guy in the class with top grades, have the best job, and be the best looking, and be able to pick girls as you wanted, and be the best online pvper in the games you played.
All at the age of 18. Have you not EARNED your ego?
You also get respect, but respect is someone you get FROM OTHERS.
If you are the best, and stay the best, can you not SAY you are the best?
Have you not earned it?
I think you have, and therefor i say, EGO is something earned, it comes with respect.
Respect is the ego's sidekick :P

(and yes, i am 18, and i am all the above)
