could i just pick someones brains on here, quests? on the mainland tryker ville, they only give fame? the amber cube quest i did opened somethingg else in the encyclo, do any of these quests give you a bit of exp? or an amber cube up one of your skills?

i like the slow grind i like the game and tbh i dont really like a whole quest base, but occasionally when you get to that point you can do a quest and explore a bit but for apparently little reward? no new piece of armour or maybe a craft skill? was just a bit dissapointed after scowering the majority of the map after hours of swimming for some guy on an island for a few lines of text?

Well.. some encyclopedia quests give a permanent boost, like +50 focus. But missions don't give XP, they alter your reputation a little, tribe, civilisation and cult, and they give a dappers.

This game is not for high achieving grinders. If that is your mentality then the light at the end of the tunnel is extremely small. C'mon 11,000 skill levels!

I'm a high achiever, but I hate boring grinding so I leverage my second highest Bartle score which is exploring.

Most leave from boredom which is a product of levelling burn-out.
