No. I have made many friends since Windermeer closed. I would never choose to give them up.-Kil

I voted no. And I'm from Windermeer. One of the reasons I came to the English server is to play with others who don't hold my worldview. Separate, but equal, is not an option for me. And though we take no offense, seeing how this is the British collective term for us, not all Americans are Yankees

It'd be hell in a handbasket to try and untangle Arispotle's players and guilds into pre-merge state, so that's an unfesable option. However, I can see creating a new shard and calling it Arispotle. Only problems I can see with that is that it would take a while for the server's community to entrench itself to the degree of the other three, but that's a given.
Still, I think that it should only be created when the server population starts having notable effects on latency, as we don't want to dilute the much appriciated imcrease in population density that's starting to happen.
This might become a moot point with the shard unification unified in R2, but I'm no expert on how they'll interact then - full transferribility or something else.

For all the problems and time it would take to revive the the Windermeer server and split the player base up. Not worth it
As i am also from the Australian time zone.. i would agree to there being not enouph players online to warent a server split.

Can you further explain this last point. What shard unification is planned with R2 release?

Its already happened - basically what it meant was that anyone can make a character on any server, and you can send emails between the servers (I think /tells as well, but you'd have to check on whether thats working yet)

Thak you Sprite. For some reason I connected R2 with Ryzom Ring and didn't remember any talk of further server unification(consolidation).
