Yes, why did you reroll?
If you buy stanza-brick you dont like, just level a bit more and you can buy the right skill or stanza.
Or did you decide Trykers just look cooler?

As normally happens I have a group of friends that start to play a game. One of them picks a race out and we all try to play that race so we can start out in the same area. I started a Tryker before any of them started playing. Then they wanted to follow Kamis, and they did not to be Fyros. So I created a Zoria. Well the avatar was to hideous for me to handle, so I told them that. So we switched to Fyros.
Now what is funny is the few of us that seem to actually be playing could of been happy with any race, except the one they wanted to play.
Having played online games with the same group of people for about ten years this is normally what happens. It actually gives me a chance to try a number of things out before being locked into a character, so it is not that big of deal.

You settled on the right race in the end.
Basically, if everyone just re-rolled until they ended up with a Fyros, the world of Atys would be a better place.

I agree, the community is pretty good. People don't get all pissy about having the same questions answered over and over (wheres the fine zun, where's such and such npc, where is the kami in the village, etc etc) and generally are helpful. Not many beggars or smack talkers either.
And on the mainland.. I had random people come up and help me out, one even just up and gave me xp cats for no particular reason.. The population density in the area I was in wasnt very big so no free-rezzing, or not as much as on the island.. but all in all satisfactory. Of course I then rerolled back to the newb island.. but only because I always tend to make a random character, play it a while to get a feel for the game and how the engine works, before making a serious character, in these kinds of games.

Oh, don´t worry. You´ll get your free Rezzing when the novelty of the RoS has worn down and Mainland is more populated with prime Charakters again

I haven't been on the mainland as of yet, I started out playing yesterday, but
I do agree with you that there are quite a few 'kids' playing there that can't
either spell nor be nice to people. But.. I never notice them during the days,
they crawl out from their nests at the dawn and infests the starting island.
My first experience with the community of Ryzom was in during 10oo-16oo,
and I must say I was amazed with the maturity and helpfulness of the people
I met then. But.. as I said.. it's a lot worse at night
I'm relieved to hear it's better on the mainland. Looking forward to it
