Perhaps the lack of a forum link on the main page, or atleast an easily viewable one is intentional. You'll see the focus is now more on the other aspects of ryzom. I think it is designed very well for the new eye, and the longer it takes someone new to find these forums the better

Well im quite proud that i am one of the few that actually did find it instead of cheating and typing in the url ..

None of the dropdowns work for me (Thread tools, search, rating, display modes, etc). The "Forum Jump" one works as normal tho.

I'm having this problem too. I use the Forum Tools a fair amoutn and now they only work in the Saga and Tech Support sections.

Like others, I don't really understand what they did to the forums. They worked fine before, why change them? Surely something like a security update (the only reason I can think of for a change) wouldn't stop major functions from working.

A few nice additions, but the main effect is that i no longer read anything on ryzom.com, just go straight to the forums instead. The new mainpage takes longer to load, and tbh i preffered the pics on the old site the new ones are too cartoony. One of Ryzoms strenghts is the graphics, why detract from that?

On another sidenote, the other main strength of ryzom is the community, why make it harder for a noob to find the forums?

yeah totally agree, looks rubbish on ie. 1024x768 and on firefox 1024 x 768 the story just begins is cut off.

looks great at 1280x800 tho i`m guessing whoever designed it had widescreen.

and change that grey bar at the top!
