Not once we close it because people holding an officer or above position in guilds can't be trusted.

It still doesn't make up for people who can't act like adults. Posting our information verbatim is a bit different than sharing a general direction. The only thing posting that info did was cause a ruckus. Made a lot of people angry, and made a lot more people dislike the game in my opinion.

Instead of 1 OP battle, we got the weekend of hell, naming calling, friend bashing, finger pointing, etc.

I guess that was the intent of the original 'spy' though.

It happens on both sides. We don't know for sure that Scar is the spy, she could've aquired the info as a 3rd party and we know it has happened on both sides so maybe just drop this?
Noin was not calling Scar the party responsible.

Noin was calling Scar on the fact that Scar has the audacity to post stuff from our forums. Would we not admit our membership if someone asked?

agree`s with Ali, never set out to be a spy, so here`s my offer, stop the trash talk and propoganda hatred comments directed at individual homins, don`t patronise your other alliance members with OOC personnal vendetta`s. And i`l leave your new Karavan Alliance forums alone. The old ones are filled with OOC greed and hatred, hope your new ones will be different

Now that all of my private conversations must go through the Scarzi, Chrono and whoever else filter. I thought I would save you some trouble of posting these words. I pity you. I pity those who follow you. I pity anyone that would support you. Threatening the very principals of private conversation, just because you do not like the contents of the thought or that it does not personally benefit you.

You are meaningless to me.

(this isn't aimed at you, Noin, but your comment makes me want to put the thoughts I've been having into words)

One of the problems with the lifting of this information is that it was taken out of context and since the people it was exposed to didn't have access to the full conversation, Scar and others got to give whatever impression they wanted to. That's a great technique for politics; whole elections have been decide by such techniques. But, Noin's right; the net result for this community was only pain.

Most of the conversations in those forums were fairly mature, but it's also a place we allowed ourselves to blow off a little frustration because we felt it was private. So, some comments were not as mature. I'm not trying to defend any specific statements, just trying to put some context to them in general. Please don't requote anything and ask me to defend it or contextualize it. Even though they are revealed in part, I still regard them as private conversations.

Also, there's a world of difference between saying something semi-privately and saying it publicly. I'm sure we've all said things about someone in private that we didn't want repeated publically. Maybe in the heat of a moment; maybe because we held that opinion longer than that. Once it's revealed publicly, people act with righteous indignation even though they may say equally horrible things in private because their private words are still private.

Fortunately for me, the words of mine that were quoted were simply the attack plan and nothing stupid I might have said because I was having a bad day that day. I don't deny that we wished to challenge an outpost. But by mixing in words from someone else from a different thread, a completely different set of motivations were assigned to us than the ones PF actually had. The motivations and slander ascribed to us were way over the line. We felt and still do that we were simply trying to play the game as it was given to us.

For my part, I wish the folks that are quitting the game over this weekend would reconsider (yes, even the one that declared on the Samsara without even his own guild's approval). Running from a problem doesn't solve it. It's beginning to feel almost human here in the forums again. Come back and help us find a way for everyone to enjoy this game including those that enjoy the competition of PvP and those that don't.

Based on Soul's remark about treating the symptom for a while before the root cause can be addressed (different thread), I suspect we still have a while to wait for any significant pve content. So, let's find a way to get past this and not kill the game and the community.

i find it funny how you can turn a positive into a negative Pero, and to stop your hatred no, i didn`t give Chronosfera my username/password, havn`t spoke to Chrono in 6 months, theres more than one leak in the KA barrel, 80% of the post on that forum are great, IC relevant posts, unfortunatly theres that other 20% of posts. And dont call me Scarzi, i dont call you Pedro. And no-one supports me, you got a personal problem with me, speak ingame, do not make me out as a bad guy, i regret nothing that i have done, and feel the community will benefit in the long run because of it. i dont condemn you, its up to you whether you do that yourself.

We have neither the means or the intention to spy on your private organization, nor have we conducted or endorsed any active spying anywhere in the past. Some people in your organization, people you were directly addressing, were genuinely appalled by what they saw and felt that it would be in the community's interest to know of the mentality that might come to dominate. You will never find out who blew the whistle, so perhaps keep your domination plan really private, or dare I politely suggest, adopt a playstyle wherein the rest of us are not meaningless to you...
