I wasn't there, but since Nara is my RL hubby I just wanted to reiterate this portion of his post in case some of you missed it. There *was* warning before anyone was attacked, they *chose* to stay. It's really that simple. They could have just as easily gone and gotten some friends and battled for the SN.

That is, of course, your choice. But some of us don't take pvp that darn personal. There are Kami that I have helped chase across Void, and participated in pvp in Yrk against, usually ending in my own death rather than theirs (lol)....then hunted with/healed/rezzed them the next day. Why? Because during pvp that's all it is...just another facet of the game. When I'm not wearing a tag, there are many Kami that I respect and don't mind helping.

What is so difficult to understand about pvp zones/tags? If you're in a pvp zone, an OP battle, own an OP, or wear a tag - expect PVP! If you can't handle getting pvp-killed with a little maturity, then don't bother engaging in it or showing up where it *can* happen.

Lathaniel's main reason for staying out of the PvP until now is because he cannot play nice with people after he has killed or been killed by them. It isn't in his nature I guess you could say. So, Lathaniel becoming kami to kill the people he has once been friends with is a big step and one he and Sekhmet didn't approach lightly. There was much discussion on our forums on this. Believe it. To us, a guild where we are as close as actual family member, killing and being killed by people that were once a part of our 'family' is very personal.

I can relate to the personal association that we have with our characters. For those that remember AoA and Loulou I remember when she was killed in Umbra. This gave us all a massive shock cos she was a dainty thing. The person that did it was then subject to a 2-3 day manhunt.

To some of you this would have ended there (by there i mean after you got them back the first time) but for me i could never see that person as a "decent" homin for months. With differing levels of personal connection, differing styles of gameplay, and differing attitudes its impossible to say what the correct course of action would be in hindsight.

Well, had it been just me I wouldn't have been half as mad. I would probably have just resolved to kill any OV when I had the chance, helped attack their OPs a few times, stuff like that. It would never have got as far as the forums either.
