Ya know, I think it might be a good idea for noobs if some of them volunteer to stay on the island to help out new noobs, at least for a while, before leaving. It might keep someone on the noob island longer than they might want, but, hey, share the wealth, right? Us homis gots ta stick together, ya know. Maybe spend a week real time on the island; you can get some pretty good levels if you don't mind the grind, and you can help other noobs with sage advice, not to mention half-decent crafted items
I may do that myself, once I get back in game
Of course, when the noob islands become one, I plan to make a new one so I can experience it myself.

I am on my 2 day of play and it was a little discouraging at first but I think I am going to like it. Everyone always says that the first impression is not one to go by. Btw, I posted my introduction in the general forum. Sorry

I don't think it matters; you'll get plenty of huggles, whichever forum you post in
I guess if you think of the starter islands as a bike with training wheels, and the mainlands as the 10-spd bike, there's a big difference in the experience. And, the forums are a pretty good place to ask questions; plenty of helpful folks here. And, you might even find a character name or two to send a /tell to in game *hehehe*
