Ah, but then you she couldn't have been 18 when she came to the mainland. It seems the age of homins in Jena Years is comparable to the age of humans in earth years. Life expectancy amongst homins (not counting violent deaths) must be at least 60 Jena Years, or 240 cycles. So if she was 18 cycles old, her age would be comparable to that of a human child of 5 years old.
Now I'm pretty sure she was already past puberty when I met her
So you'd have to say that she was 72 cycles old when she came to the mainland, and is now 88.4 cycles.
Unless ofcourse, homins reach adulthood extremely fast. Humans are considered adult when they've reached about 25% of their life expectancy. But maybe homins are already adults after only 5% of their life.

Interesting...that would touch upon both the homin physiological definition of adulthood, and the societal definition.
I suppose since her family was of course Matis, and more or less Karavaneer, she wouldn't have started measuring her age by cycles until she came to the mainland and learned about the Kami.
Only problem is, she is not 22 years old, psychologically, or any other way...
Going to have to figure this out better, been wrestling with the technicalities of it on and off for a while. XD

Maybe she ages faster than the other homins for some reason
I suppose character age will never be completely consistent. Our characters are supposed to be young adults when they're created, somewhere around 20. But even the oldest characters have only seen about 10 Jena Years since they were created, and most have seen far less. We must have a lot of 25-year old homins running around who have already mastered foraging, crafting, magic
and fighting. And people complain levelling is slow

If I count the launch date (16 september 2004) as day 1, spring, cycle 1, Jena Year 2525, and use the conversion rates from that thread, then it should now be spring, cycle 3, Jena Year 2532.
Obviously, it's autumn now. But I'm not counting server downtimes in that calculation, so the actual time passed on Atys should be somewhat behind.
However, your calender says it's already autumn, cycle 2, Jena Year 2533. That's almost a full Jena Year
ahead of what the calculation says it should be. Where did that extra year come from?

ahh, i think you correct, thanks.
But my reason (most probably) was that
this post was made in August 10th, 2005 and it states that we are currently 2530JY. it should be
6661 days in atys (4.6 JY, 2529JY).
So Marjo, whats the deal ? was day 61 in atys year 2525JY or 2526JY ?

any news what atysians call their weekdays and months ? (maybe even cycles/weeks?)

On Aniro (French speaking server), we are using
these. I'm not sur how much official there are, but they are used by our CSRs to schedule events, and also in 'Atys Chronicles' website (ultimately, matis weddings taking place upon Holeth day, Harvestor month).

That's a very nice page, we need one like it too.
I remember an old screenshot where the map showed the date, it had a month called "Falenor" too. Now the question is, can we use your French month names or do we need translations?
I'm glad you agree with me that it's currently cycle 2 of Jena Year 2532

Ah yes, it's perfect now. Except that it should be available ingame
That site says the days are Prima, Dua, Tria, Quarta, Quinteth, and Holeth. The seasons are Winderly, Germinally and Folially during spring. Floris, Medis and Thermis during summer. Harvestor, Frutor and Fallenor during autumn. Pluvia, Mystia and Nivia during Winter. Winderly is the first month of the year, Nivia the last one.
The rest of the story is basicly the same as what Shadowweb's forum entry says.

Still, it was interesting reading, even if I wasn't confident of my understanding...
