Sometimes it's easier to nuke an aggro than to walk around 200m. If you have 2 nukers 200+ and a healer 200+ you can handle anything up to 5 star red in a matter of seconds (bit longer for kinchers and the like though). Just saying, is it worth losing 2 minutes if you could just as well nuke 1 mob?
The biggest time lost on treks I've found is waiting for everyone to catch up. This is especially noticeable in large groups. In a small team, there's virtually no delay.
Just make sure you have a pathfinder that knows his way through the mazes (Heretic's Hovel or Zorai lands, whichever you go through), nuke a few aggros if it saves a 200m detour, and most importantly, don't ever loot

Yep, alone you can often sneak past mobs without having to fight any, but in a group this is usually impossible. It's better to go straight through mobs that you know you can handle, than to try going around them which will not only cost a lot more time but may also lead you to mobs you can't handle.
Take it from me, the most embarrasing trek wipes are the ones where you walk too close to a group of kinchers and all 10 of them attack you, just because you decided to go around that single little torbak that you could've easily dealt with

Or you killed the little Torbak and suddenly 12 spawn around you! Run for the hills!

That only happens with torbaks if you don't make sure to hammer the "no looting" and the "don't stand still in a spawn to heal" rules firmly enough into everyone's skull

small tip, dont go zorai. You need to pass through Trench of Trails and once there, you cannot heal people that are not in your guild, so multguildteams are rendered useless. Just becomes nessecairy to pass throught the maze in matis and Loria, both are pretty nasty places, but nothing a good group cannot handle.
Maybe I am there, maybe not. Dont count on it, my tendency to run into named on purpose and then the rest of my guild shouting "I saw him first!" or "Dibs on the bones!" doesnt help either... Or the fight that breaks out after the kill... "Screeny! You looted, now I didnt get me screeny!" "Any skin?" "How many eyes?" "Who looted?"

Why want to go to Tryker anyway?
Only beaches, cocktails, surfboards, suntanning, beach barbeques, stinga rum and trykerettes in swimming suits there....
No reason to go there at all i think...

agrees totally.
Stupid GvG zones dont take into account allied guilds, or people who are in the SAME team that just, might, perhaps, by some remote chance, not be interested in killing each other, and possibly even have some idea that they should be able to HELP their teammates.
Took a low level character from Zorai to Matis, and then through the Abyss to the Nexus ( pretty hard having to do it in a single pass, without access to the halfway tps ), and the only places we were wiped was the PvP zone in Knoll of Dissent (before i got her to renounce that Kami association), and in the Nexus itself where the GvG stopped us healing.

but unfotunately i will have to spend time with the missus tonight or she will cut my Bodocs off.... ho hum...
