FAO Xavier:

Xavier, the current event and its PvP nature is at complete odds with your Code of Conduct and Courtesy Policy.

By failing to provide a non-PvP alternative or concurrent event of similar worth you, in effect, force people to leave themselves open to the depredations of other players of a less than charitable sensibility with a definate lack of courtesy.

The CoC and Courtesy policy make NO exceptions for PvP areas and, having been treated to the full gamut of awful behaviour in zone, and to the complete inability of the CSRs to deal with it, I've been told to come to you for clarification...

The relevent parts of your documentation are as follows...
http://www.ryzom.com/?page=support_policies

CODE OF CONDUCT
------------------
You may not harass, threaten, embarrass nor discomfort any other players.

INGAME COURTESY POLICY
--------------------------
You may not harass other players in any form.
You may not disrupt the game experience of another player.
You may not operate or be part of a guild or group of players that violates this Courtesy Policy.
You may not take cover under the guise of 'role-playing' to violate any part of the Courtesy Policy.
You may not violate the Code of Conduct.

Repeatedly killing or targetting someone is harassment to me and certainly discomfort's me, PvP zone or not (and I note there are no special PvP exceptions listed in the above sections, here or in full).

Others would consider training mobs to be similarly bad sportsmanship and abusive behaviour. As would be killing people when helpless, AFK, swimming or other similar situations.

The real killer here is "You may not disrupt the game experience of another player." Something that nonconsensual PvP cannot help but allow to occur, and it IS nonconsensual at present, make no mistake about that.

Also note that the 'No hiding behind RP' section doesn't excuse these actions under 'tactics' or the orders of the factions there present.

The eventual emergence of a PvP flag will deal with a lot of this - so long as PvP is not tied to exclusive content existing in a vacuum - but in the meantime this is an issue and harassment is going undealt with thanks to the nebulous excuse of PvP.

Please clarify or amend as applicable (and I think it'll be amend as these are pretty clear).

I don't expect to get an answer in time to make any difference to this event, but something would be nice.

I hope you will have the courtesy to reply to this query.

You have stated that there are no immediate plans to do a complete revamp of range. So, can you do a small adaption to heavy ammo to make this skill more playable? It really needs to be about 60% less bulky, surely that would not overtax the skills of your programmers and make the skill more useful.

Since you seem to have little inclination to amend the range skill balance, would it be wrong to assume that you hope the skill will fall into disuse and you won't need to bother about it?

Lately, we have seen the announcement that Chapter III will contain outposts, global FvF - with the spires - and the fame version 2. Were these features planned to be included when the release dates were announced? Does this mean that the date (Nov 26th, iirc) has been delayed? (iirc Nov 4th on ATS)

Just asking,

I have a very serious Question i DO want an answer too as it will effect my decision and sure other ppl's whether or not to stay in Ryzom...

there is a Rumor that in the future we will not be able to buy plans from other Races due to the introduction of more FvF.

I would like to know if this is the case as I have worked long and hard on my lvl's and do not wish to be resitricted in doing something it has taken me a Year to obtain and have to stop cause of an introduction of something which i personally dont like in the game.
How are we to goto trainers and buy plans if possible if as soon as we port in we are attacked by the Guards.

More things just Occurred to me...
Mixed Guilds, their meetings would be interesting to see, lots of ppl dying trying to get to their GH lol.

Getting to your Apartment, as you cannot sell it.

Diggin in other lands as you have to port to a town to get to them (unless you take the long way, ie... through PR and use Portals.

Will removed animations like the launcher and autolauncher ever be reinstated?

I want to address all of the other animations, I believe there might have been additional animations for spell power over 200 but I don't know. Will there ever be any?

thx

Back in July, there were proposed title changes. These seem to have since been forgotten. Are you still planning on implementing the changes? If so, when?

I attempted to get an answer by posting in the feedback thread on the titles, however, the thread was then locked with no answer being given.

  • What will be the rewards for the Episode 2 Events.
  • Will they come in different power levels.
  • Will there be more events like 'The Houses of the Gods' to the Episode 2.
  • What are your schedule for the end of Episode 2 and the start of Episode 3.

Does it matter the damage you deal with a mace 1h or 2 h for the duration of the slow skill ?

Bleeding skill deals a % of the damage dealt without a maximum ? I mean if a 2 hand weapon maybe deals the same that a 1 hand weapon cause you just can bleed a maximum hp per tick

It is the same deal 1 point of damage that 1000 to make lose concentration to a mage so that the spell that was casting breaks ?

What happened to the FAQ implementation of the Q&A rounds? Can we have that back? It was very useful to find all of the past items.

Noin.

Rites...

Have you abandoned them?

Will we ever see any more?

I was under the impression that part of the reason for the spring clean was that things like the rites would be a lot easier/quicker to implement? But we haven't seen any new rites since the 4 extra ones in patch 71 in May.

Any news/updates on this topic would be appreciated.

I'm really hoping that they haven't been abandoned for not being PvP enough, because I really enjoyed doing them, and in contrast to the very time-specific events where if you're not there you're SOL, you can do them at your leisure.
