You can turn off the global FvF with a flag (apparently).
You can't turn off or escape its consequences.

I think its good Nevrax is doing new stuff too.
what I, and most of the other "whiners" are complaining about, is that they are throwing away and destroying the "old" stuff to do it.
Beleive it or not, some people were actually enjoying the game as it was.. looking forward to new/more stuff, but they hadnt exhausted the old stuff.
If you were bored with your level 250 Avatar of Destruction with multiple 250 melee skills, then this new content will be good for you. If you are enjoying trekking with newcomers with your level 150 Destroyer, then it is the harbinger of utter doom.
btw, there was 'a' positive comment, at the beginning of this post.. I just couldn't sustain it

Not really.... You can still trek all over the place with newcomers. AD is harsh place for the lowers, so they'll be wanting to do other stuff as well. That means trekking around, getting to the places that are nice leveling areas.

And the seemingly strange part is that the "'old' stuff" (talking pre-Ep2, not beta) is still there, in exactly the same state that it was before Ep2. When I find the new content getting tiresome, I just go back to the same harvesting routine that I did before.
Nothing's gone: Zora's still in the jungle, seasons still change, supreme PR mats still show up again at season change. You can just ignore the PvP areas, continuing with the usual ebb and flow of time in the PvE Atys. If you're worried about something that would change the non-PvP gameplay, Outposts would be that thing.
Outpost have the possibility to deny PvE players from the PvE that they have been acclimated to, as factions will control sections of the original Atysian lands. Aelius Dunes is new, and more importantly, isolated; the only things that leave the Dunes are attitudes and mission mats. If the player-base is mature, attitudes will be controled and civil, and I've yet to see mission mats jump out and gank a player.
But it really all begins and ends with...

What? If you don't like it, go somewhere else.
