I got the impression that everybody thinks, that the attacker stands on top of the cliff. I got killed twice from a attacker that killed me from below, so I don't have the option to move the cursor over the entire area to spot the assailant, because I don't get a line of sight to him.

The only way neutrals can attempt to interact and get anything at all from this event - which has failed to give them any other means to interact - is to assist both sides as much as possible to complete their temples so that things stay even.
I feel as though you have contradicted yourself here Jyudas. I seem to remember you agreeing with Rushin that a true Neutral in this game is someone that has rejected the ideas of both factions and is in fact factionless.

Yet for a neutral to show up and complete tasks for both kami and karavan and claim on a RP term that one is cancelling out the other thus you are neutral is dumb. This might as well be saying "I can't make up my mind, Kami or Karavan?"!

The thought of a homin doing tasks for both factions i can't see happening, it just doesnt fit! It is far more plausible that a neutral homin would do no task for either faction rather than do equal amounts of work for either side.

Ok, doing a re-read, yeah for this event it is unfortunate that neutrals have no part to play, but hopefully the future will hold more for them. I'm sure it has been mentioned somewhere that something is in the pipeline...

Come on, that's even the direction we were prodded by the sop of a Tryton event we got.

With lots of both types of temple at least homin in general will grow stronger and, hopefully, the forces will remain balanced.

Its all we've really got.

We're neutral, you're just too cheap to hire us.

Except for destroying the materials of both factions so that neither Temple of War can be completed. Really the only way to show that homin don't want these wars thrust upon them.

I'm using either 'spacebar' or a /tar command to target, and am usually defending the plateau or the ramp when I do so, which means the situation is usually too chaotic for me to check exactly what z axis my targets are on. How would I know I was "cliffing"? Could I be doing this and not even know it?

Of course your argument will be you can just roll your cursor over the entire area so that you could see if a targeting rectile pops up!!! Seems that you are unfairly hiding. (Personally, I think a spell should collide with the wall and not reach the target.

EDIT: Seems the best way to fix this would be to make the plataue(sp) be 80 meters high with no accessible cliffing areas.
If they can target you, you can target them:
space bar and nuke, same as they do :)

Now i think this is a fake topic im sorry to say because the point is elsewhere:

-either it is used to kill harvesters in which case the question is: is it bad behaviour to kill harvester and enough has been said about this.

-either it is used as war purpose in which case it is PvP strategy and a pretty funny and dangerous one for the nuker:

I have done it several times: kami are holding the top of the ramp on kara side, I ran on the right side in middle of small kinchies, hided below ramp and nuked them: this is strategy and you are alone most of the time, away from the main group and away from healers....and even tho u can take some down, you don't live very long lol :)
Should I be reported for that? :)

Except that still means taking a side, because you can only enter the area by taking a side. Plus the other side will just see you as the enemy so you'll probably be forced to work with others on 'your side' just to stay alive.

Do you mean baldness or are you saying it leads to agressive anti social behaviour that is easly profiled?

Actually its pretty easy to destroy materials from the camps that are not in the Old Lands. No need to travel there to do it. The beauty is, the side you are undermining can't do anything to stop you.
