All the proof you should need is bloodthirsty rampages of the Kami faithful.
They are what thier Kami masters have taught them to become.

There is a thread on the German board about the message with one poster writing what should have been said. Here is my version:
Sisters, Brothers, Homins!

Hear the message entrusted to me by Elias Tryton.

War has come to these shores commanded by the Karawan and by the Kami. Many rally in bloodlust beneath their flags, to build those temples, to kill their fellow homin, to see their name of those socalled 'Steles of Valor'.

Many like you seek a way to escape that bloodlust, that slaughter. Elias has heard your calls and he offers you a way out.

He asks each and every one of you to gather as many materials as you can, as many items as you can, as many tools as you can carry. Load up your bags, fill up your packers, saddle up your mounts.

On [certain day] emissaries from Elias will come to each capital and form a trek to the borders of the known Atys. There Elias will open a gate to the Passes of Trials. These passes are a series of valleys and lands filled with dangers to all hominkind, but we will pass through. At the end of those passes lie the new lands given to hominkind by Elias.

There will be no cities in those lands, no teleporters, no gates. The lands will be filled with dangers, ancient tribes, wild beasts, ravenous kitins, all hostile to hominkind. By the Grace of Atys we may find ourselves respawned there if enough homins come through, but even that is unsure.

It will be up to you homins to settle those lands. Through your hard work they will truly be yours, not gifts from Kami or Karawan. You will build the new cities, you will fill the shops with materials and weapons and tools.

You, homins, will build the new world!

Hmmm new lands for those of us smart enough not to get involved in the conflict... niiiiiiiiceeee...

not gonna happen though as nevrax is too concerned in churning out the story the way they've planned it to consider alternatives...
(or too far into the developement)

OOC: All this message says to me is that Nevrax forgot to include for neutrals and had to quickly bodge an RP 'solution'. It's just another element of this event that they botched (such as the whole enemy/opponent rubbish when not in PvP mode). Doesn't fill me with any kind of confidence for the future. :(

IC: I could never trust anyone who's philosophy seems to be play both sides off against each other. Sounds like a devious and underhand kind of character to me, completely devoid of any true sense of honour. Why should I trust anyone who would even suggest such a tactic?

If only......maybe the forums would be sounding far differently now. I know I'd be busy doing that rather than trying every free trial available and signing up for every beta that looks appealing.

Neutral does not mean we have not chosen a side. Neutral means we don't want to join either the Karavan or the Kami. For some I'll add the word 'yet' at the end of that and for others 'or Elias'. How can they possibly expect me to not only throw away all principles of not supporting either side, by supporting one and then potentially supporting the other, depending on how things go? That is not neutral. That is duplicitous, traitorous and trecherous in the extreme.

So now I have three sides that I can't trust.

I'm confused. How "helping the losing side" has anything to do with being neutral?

My name is Hazzar. I don't trust the "higher powers", they're clearly trying to use Homins as their tools. Have they ever helped any of you, in any way? I think not. Do they help us fighting the kitin? How many times you've been begging them for help, being chased by an angry Ocyx for instance? Did they help? No, they only defend THEMSELVES and their altairs. We really don't owe them anything - we even have to pay for using their teleports. By the way - have you ever wondered how much did they earn so far? And what do they need these dappers for?..

I'm telling you Homins, let them Karavans and Kamis fight each other and bleed to death. Let's not thelp them building these temples - how can we know what will they be really used for?

This is not OUR case. This is not OUR war.
