I'm still getting the Error: Patch Files failed - checking message.

I'm using Earthlink as my ISP. Any ideas on what the problem might be? Anyone else still having trouble?

blaah wrote:sry but NOT a Nevrax problem. RR is denying your access to patch server, not nevrax. i would be very suprised if ryzom's patch server is the only ip you dont have access to.

sry, there is nothing you or nevrax can do (other than moving patch server to new ip[not as easy as it sounds], but that would be stupid imho)
sry but is a Neverax Problem cuz they are the ones who are going to lose custumers

would it be different if physical cable under atlantic would have been broken and half the europe is unaccessible to RR clients ? (yeah, i know that there is a lot more those "cables" ;-)
that situation was just that, only that there was electronic "cable" broken to some IP address group where patch server is (not just patch server).

internet is working on assumption that every computer (network) can access to every computer (network). you want nevrax to move patch server every time somewhere is routing problem ?

what would have you done if patch server would been accessible, but ryzom.com/klient/game server would not been ?
btw, it was just coincidence that it happened in patch day (i'm sure of it ;-)

nope, no way to patch "offline" ;-( but once patched, game seems to work (there is other posts like that)

patch server is 130.117.80.5
use http://www.pingplotter.com/ to check how far does packets go.
for me, its local ISP->195.66.224.185->130.117.80.5 (8 hops total)

contact your ISP and give them that IP maybe they can help. tho if it's out of their network, they might not.

This was what happened to me last night http://theinquirer.net/?article=26766

If you have this issue, contact your IP provider. To me it was RR. 30 minutes after talking to one of their Technical Issues Rep I was able to connect. It might help if they are aware that you are having problems and can probably fix the issue.

http://www.http-tunnel.com/html/ something like this should be ok enough for tunneling trough their servers to the ryzom patch server...
