I can't be bothered to enter the levels/balance debate but I would say that telling people to like it or p*** off is not the response you should be giving. We should be encouraging people to play this game and offer constructive comments.
As for the lube, is this so you can get your head outa your butt?
Obviously, sarcasm is lost on you. Where's *your* head?
I am sick and disgusted by the fanbois who say that the game is fine, everything that Neverax is doing is wonderful, and that there is no problem at all with Mob balance, PvP, or any number of completely useless stanzas (sleep, the weapon power "slow", craftable item part prospecting specialization etc.) that the uninitiated may spend their hard earned skill points on.
Reason and logic have proven useless on the foolish and stupid that are killing the game, I thought I'd try another tact.

Actually I do that, even I did not log in for a long time.
But, please answer this: WHY should I do this?
Do Nevrax pays me to bring in new customers? no
Do I recevie a special favours for this? no
Do I ever saw ANY of my suggestions applied? no
Or any of the bugs I've posted solved? no
No, but despite this fact I do encourage my friends to try the game, I even use my CC to pay for the ones who don't posses ICC (in my country is rather unusal to have an international CC). This not stops me to rant in forums when I had enough, even I've been called troll a couple of times.
So as long Bax or others "should encourage... blah blah" you should see a bit far than your nose.

Well I am sick and disgusted by people flipping out over minor issues in a
game. If MMORPGs upset you that much, try something else...

apperantly some people don't think the...ahum changes...they made to magic are a minor issue.
If people upset you that much try becoming a hermit, it might get a tad lonely after a while but at least it'll keep you blood pressure down...

I'm not sure anyone ever said that everything was fine. I don't think I've ever met anyone who hadn't got an opinion on how something could be improved in the game.
The OP said something like 'thanks for the healing changes, they make me enjoy the game more'.
I agree - I also enjoy combat more since the healing changes. That is a long, long way from saying that everything in the game is fine though.

I could live with the changes in heal IF they would bring back the old self heals.
After all, the end of this kind of games comes when you are - because of developement of your character - paractically indestructible.
But is not the case in Atys. Even with all skills at lev 250 (btw, there is anyone with all the skills at 250?) you are still a wimp. You need a healer if you tank, you need a healer if you nuke, you need a healer even you heal.
No matter how much work you put in development, you are not far from the Day 1, in terms of vulnerability vs mobs. There is allways a bigger mofo out there. And I'm not talking about bosses - who are supposed to be mean and strong and unstoppable - I'm talking about mobs of same level with you.
Assuming you are lev 250 in 2h, can you melee a lev 250 mob and live without a healer?

I think most non-kitin aggros you could kill solo at lvl250 2h -- with the appropriate type of weapon that is. Some maybe even without using all your stanzas (enchantments, self heal, auras, invul... speedup
).
Kitins are another story, they are harder, but makes sense from lore perspective. Some of them you could kill easily, others not a chance.
Not talking about PR mobs as they have more HP.
(Note: not a lvl250 melee, but healer of a lvl225 melee
)

I find the new heals easier for me than the old way with the exception of rezzing. With the new bomb power, healing melee's in the team and keeping stam and sap topped doesn't require as much casting now for me at my particular skill level than it did prior to the patch. I will say I tend to hunt in bigger teams, so bomb is more useful.
What I do see is that prior to the heal patch, a level 150 healer could keep a level 220 team up. Now post patch the main healer needs to be closer in level to the top skill in the team in order to heal efficiently. That's not to say it can't be done, but I think it is much harder to heal a team now that is significantly higher in level that your healing.
Also to be easier on the healer, team members need to update their stanzas to use more sap or stam. Its obvious when someone is still using their old stanzas.

lol, on the end of my neck! derrrrrrrrrrrrr
lol again, fanbois, first time I've ever been branded that.
For starters, I've never said the game is fine, exactly the opposite. There are many, many things that "erk my tater" with Ryzom. However, I enjoy the game and the people and am prepared to see it through to either sucess or death. Suprising for me cos I really aint that keen on team playing, I like to explore, solo combat and the like, things that I have done and others are no longer possible due to nerfing patches etc. But I just adapt and carry on playing. I've seen people screaming "give us outposts, we want outposts" and they're getting them. Personally, I would rather see Guild Halls working properly first. A proper economic system working first. Seems, everybody wants everything sorted and sorted now, their way, well, in a eutopian society that may be possible, but in reality it aint gonna happen. Things will appear when they appear, that's it. If Nevrax get it wrong they'll go under as will the game.
As for PvP and all the other stuff. I personally feel that to be the best game around Ryzom will have to be the most complete game around. By complete I mean it will encompass ALL aspects of gaming to satisfy the needs of the Shop Keepers, the Florence Nightingales, the Explorers, the Hermits, the Pirates, the Megalomaniacs etc etc amoung us. I think the worst thing that can happen is for it to become a "Universal Love In Lounge" with total peace/tree hugging and zero danger/excitement.
