Sorry to see you go, Psylo. You are still a nominee for Tryker General in that election that is about to be held.

Thanks for the many friendly replys :)

In the last days i managed to put a little distance between the game and me.
The lenght of this post probably will show how serious i am about this all.
And please be aware that this is completely out of role.

First about the infamous post that was moved away by a Mod. I dont really
care about this post. Some days earlier i asked a player from Leanon for
a description of the Cutthroat event there and how players acted on the
situation. This was not ment as act against GMs. This was pure curiosity.
Having the fast answer from a GM in mind i think my intentions where mis-
understood. I am one of those people who like the game like it is in most
aspects. I dont pay subsriction to play mindgames with staff from Jolt or
Nevrax. Based on this i understood the movement of this trivial WoW mom
thread as a "kick-in-bu**". Again, this was my subjetive impression that
day and i do get angry by such allegations.

Well, probably i was wrong. If so, i apologize. Anyways, this was really
only the "dot on the i". There is much more that bothered me the last weeks.

I allready wrote that i do like the game as it is in many aspects. The bigger
problem seems that there are too few people who play it like it should be
played.
You know, when i am ingame i forget almost about mechanics. Playing for
7 month i am aware about the mechanics and about the boundaries the mecanic
gives us players. Sometimes we do some chainkilling to reach a goal in a
reasonable timeframe. But we should not forget that such should only be
sort of "sidegame". And i also dont care about a team that is powerleveling
somewhere on the planet. Enough smalltalk... i am very frustrated how the
playerbase, and i mean as a whole, not the one or other group, is handling
events. Yes, my request to Xenofur to describe the Leanon event was to
see how the comunity there handled the cutthroats. If this question
was about compromising someone, then is was not pointing to GMs.
Therefore i was angry twice the other day.

The cotthroat event could have had as much story as an average comicbook.
This is not too much and i really dont ask for more from a single event.
But it was a "rush there and smash it" story. No GM urged us to do so,
that was a decission the players made. GMs could have take care a little,
but thats no excuse that we players didnt play a story.

Next point is the forum and the resulting mood ingame. Lets paint it
black and white. We have mechanic maniacs and roleplay maniacs on the
forum. All this posting about this and that seems to me weird. Another
point that made me angry why my simple humordependant WoW thread was
moved, cause it was only about laughing or not laughing. Either way nobody
gets hurt from such a thread.
Lets put it this way, SoR maybe has a friendly community but not a united
community. This way the game is nor fish neither beef. In my opinion
this is the major problem for every new player, for the evolution
of the game and for the community itself. Oh, by the way. SoR has outside
not the reputation to be this or that sort of game. Thats why you
can read everywhere about "the great potential". Understand what i mean ?

Last point is a personal point. The playerbase starts to be awful low.
I am a digger and crafter, but not only. I am allready at the point where
i dont ask for a battle and RP based adventure in EI on a wednesday.
But there is no hunt at all weekdays. Maybe later on after i log, but
my RL has always priority. And RL allows me playing between 16 and 20:30 BST.
Therefore i started to get heavily bored with the game.

At the moment i do have no motivation to log in. I have a beta key of
another game that is, although in early development, quite interessting.
I am still looking forward to R2. I have my concerns about it, but i want
to try it once at least. For Atys i dont know what i will do. I need to
get this settled.

I hope my post was not too boring and brought some light into my harsh
reply.

This all said i should go now cut some trees, mine some ore and craft
me some arrows. Every Elf users bow and arrows ! Havent you seen "Lord
of the rings" ? :p
